Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka will undergo a knee procedure to address some persistent soreness, sources told ESPN.com.

It is not clear how long Ibaka will be sidelined following the surgery.

Ibaka has missed the Thunder's last two games with what the team has called knee soreness. He will see a specialist for further evaluation, with the expectation for him to have a clean-out procedure in order to be ready for the postseason.

The Thunder have not confirmed that Ibaka will undergo the surgery, saying in a statement Monday that they have sent him to a specialist.

"As we continue to monitor and evaluate the soreness in Serge's knee, in consultation with his representation, we decided the next best step is to have him travel to New York to see a specialist," a team spokesman said. "We will provide an update as appropriate."

They can, but they won't. 100% healthy I would take GSW over the Thunder in 5.

And the Spurs match up better on Golden State than anyone.

Excellent floor-spacer and rim protection is more than one-dimension

Spursfans should be rooting for OKC to be at full strength and face the #1 seed tbh

I myself will be praying for Ibaka and Durant. that is the only chance OKC has to even be remotely competitive.

OKC has quit already. They quit on Durant's second exit, when they let the monkey out of the cage.

the spurs better get their shit together soon...should be an easy repeat if they can come back to even 75% of last year's strength.

Depending on whether or not they can keep up their current level of play against elite defense, they may already be there.

they should've tanked this season from the beginning of it tbh.

Abaka out for 4-6 weeks. Does OKC tank now?
