Why did Kobe purposely sabotage his team when they were winning with Shaq?

I have a friend who has been a lakers fans since before I was born in the early 70s. To this day, He says Kobe didn't wan tto win the 2004 title just to run shaq out of town(just like my statements). haha. He argues that had shaq won another finals mvp, he would have been gone. He hates kobe with a passion. Said he'll never be a fan of the team again until he's gone(and he's not the only one.). It seems that the younger lakers fans and guys in their 30s like kobe, but it's the 45 and above crowd that wants him gone immediately. These are the guys that witnessed showtime(and i'm not 40 yet, but i remember showtime very well. I'm not and never have been a laker fan though)

Yes they are. Especially when the ballhogs are point guards who can easily be shut down by bigger defenders. For instance, when the fourth quarter is coming to an end and Choke Paul immediately starts overdribbling and running isos for himself that usually ends in him either chucking or trying to drive to the hoop, which leads to bricks and turnovers. There's nothing worse than point guards hurting the team with that cancerous style of play, since at least other positions have the size to get away with it more often.
