A center dunking on a rotating washed-up guard is cause for celebration now?

Same thing happens in the NBA when a 6'10 spear chucker dunks on a 6' guy. No reason why it shouldn't happen in China.

DeAndre over Knight two years back broke Twitter.

And when the Spurs had their Rapist, he would always get dunked on hard while trying to draw a charge. Everyone would circle jerk and swallow each other over that as well.

$25,000.00 a month.

Closer to $250,000.00 a month

Finally wise to the ways of the league, Marbury landed with the Beijing Ducks the next season. He led them to their first CBA championship in his first season with the team in 2012 and again this year.::

In addition to his CBA paycheck, Marbury has signed endorsement deals valued far above his $2-million annual salary with sponsors including Chinese property developer Vanke, energy drink maker Red Bull, Japanese watch brand Casio and Chinese footwear producer 361 Degrees. But it’s not just his achievements on the court that have made him one of the most commercially successful foreign athletes in China; it’s also his carefully cultivated and re-crafted public image. In a first-person column for the state-run China Daily newspaper in 2011, Marbury wrote: “I love my new life in Beijing. My heart is filled with love for my new extended family -- the billion-plus people in China who have shown me nothing but unconditional love.”............

Damn. I stand corrected. For some reason I remember reading about how he made $25,000.00 a month out there. He's doing well for himself.

You remembered right. When he first got there in 2011, China had imposed a $20k a month cap for foreign players, and only two foreign players per team. They realized pretty quick they couldn't keep upper end players for that much, so they got rid of the cap altogether.

Marbury is the Chinese Lebron right now

He tried to take his head off but whiffed and then lost the battle of mass in midair.
So the Chinese have stopped bowing and also act like idiots after a dunk, too bad.

He caught the ball with both hands and used both hands to dribble it. Isn't that a double dribble?

at least nig is still balling and he's probably the only one left from the 96' class who's still playing professional basketball tbh.

Another year, another Chinese Basketball Association championship for Stephon Marbury and his Beijing Ducks, as the former NBA All-Star point guard continues his career's remarkable second act overseas.

The former Minnesota Timberwolves, New Jersey Nets, Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks and Boston Celtics guard scored 24 points, dished seven assists and snagged four steals as the Ducks defeated the Liaoning Flying Leopards, 106-98, to close out the CBA Finals in six games and earn both their second-straight championship and the club's third in the last four seasons. Marbury earned the first Finals MVP trophy of his six-year CBA career after averaging 29.6 points per game in the series, teaming with fellow ex-Knick Randolph Morris (19 points and seven rebounds in the deciding game) and sweet-shooting Zai Xiaochuan (27 points and six rebounds) to push Beijing past a Liaoning squad led by former NBA guard Lester Hudson....

Pretty cool that Starbury parlayed his NBA fame into an extremely successful Chinese basketball career that will probably be lucrative for a long time through endorsements and advertisements, tbh..

Meanwhile, Steve Francis..ya..:lol
