6 would be ridiculous... partly because i dont really feel like we've been packing the same punch that we did the last couple of seasons. in 12-13 and 13-14 we were slaughtering the regular season and looked dominant. i was expecting title contention.

we haven't been the same this year, but a lot of fans hold the same expectations just because we give them the benefit of the doubt and past performance. if the spurs actually turn it up and get 6 in a season like this, it would be absolutely euphoric

Best title ever. Ever.

I keep telling people that when they say we looked bad last year and people said this last year. The fact is last year they started out really hot and they had a 19 game winning streak and 62 wins, plus HC throughout. I don't see any parallel to last year right now as far as the team goes in any of those categories. They looked good last year most of the year spite struggling at one point vs. the very good teams, overall their record was very favorable and one off a franchise record.

Agree that the team doesn't pack the same punch but there's also no Thunderefs/Heatles.

That's what makes it so special. Going through such pain and heartache and then knocking off both teams that caused us such pain the previous 2 years in consecutive series. And really just taking the Heat to the woodshed. Damn I still can't believe they pulled that off.

6 would really be something else though...finally repeating + giving Tim/Manu the chance to go out on top + Tim getting #6.

But yeah, 5 was truly something you'd see in a movie. To come back from the shit that happened in 2013 and beat Dallas, OKC, and Miami en route to #5...like Budkin said, I still can't believe that happened.

Dont forget Dallas as well in round one game 7 ass whooping (06 payback) and Portland who so called owns us with the regular season record the last few years, demolishing them and TLONG during the real season. All of that well worth it.

Yeah...last season was a "Hollywood" ending for sure. Rode that high all summer long. :hat

If we can win 50+ and make the playoffs this time around, I'll be happy. After last year, it's all gravy.

Gravy indeed. I still don't think the other WC teams are looking forward to facing a Spurs team that is (hopefully) healthy next month.

It seems like the 2014-15 season has come and gone in a blink, after the euphoria of last season. I loved that ending. The SAS old guys ruled with a little help from their friends.

Number 5 just takes away the sting of some frustrations in recent years.

Pretty much this, just a bunch of teams that have no playoff success/experience. In all likelyhood the Cavs win the whole thing this year unless San Antonio can get back. I cannot see the Hawks, Warriors, Grizzlies winning the whole thing this year....

Perhaps Harden goes 2006 Wade but thats about it imo....

And 5 pretty much validated the teams between 2011-2014. If we had not won a title it would have been pretty bad considering we had the top seed in 2011, top seed in 2012, of course 2013, and then 2014. To good to not have a title over that span, remember when the Spurs werent a playoff team anymore? Heard that a lot after 2011 and 2012...glad thats dead.

Let's not go that far now :lmao

I know we won against seemingly all odds after '13 but the chances that an infinitely complex universe creating sky man who always existed and who's conveniently immune to the laws of causality (first cause) and logic is still slim (though if I'm being intellectually honest not identically 0) :lol

The 97-98 Chicago Bulls started off like this years Spurs (with Pippen injured), but they got it together after the allstar break and went on a 25-5 tear to get home court in the east.

I don't want the 4/5 seed. Gas almost took us out when they were young in 13'. Even though we've destroyed them regularly since, I'll take the grind over Memphis or Houston

We are not getting HC though in the west. I hope for atleast a series at home but the rest will be road man...

We'll probably have HC over the Cavs in the Finals, though. Not that it matters. Kyrie isn't dropping 57 on us ever again.

So we are in the finals already now Tampadude? I think some are looking too far ahead already, it will be tough to get back there and not having HC in the West will make it even tougher going on the road for every series.

Like I said in another post, if we make it that far, we got ring #6.
