That's crazy, that kick didn't look like anything out of the ordinary.

Damn..Rey waits a year for his release from WWE, gets it, and promptly goes down to Mexico and kills a man.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more of this than we have. It's actually pretty rare considering how many times these guys rassle.

Ted "The Million Dollar Man" DiBiase (a former West Texas State footballer, WTS having at least a dozen footballers in pro rasslin') father died from in ring injuries.

Manny "The Ragin' Bull" Fernandez killed a guy in the ring, he came off the top turnbuckle landing right on his chest, you could see something was wrong, and then he climbed up and did it again, whoa! It was on youtube, I don't wanna see it again.

I can't think of any famous rassler who was killed in the ring or because of injuries. Which is suprising.

There is a video (or was) of New Jack (a small time thug) stabbing a guy with a knife (talking the real deal) in a small independant match, what the fuck???

Owen Hart RIP fell at a live event unfortunately. Bruiser Brody got stabbed to death in a lockerroom overseas. Those are off the top of my head. I recollect Dibiase's dad actually dying in ring during a match but I could be wrong.

We can't consider Owen Hart and Brody's (another WTS footballer) situation the same as this.

I'm pretty sure "Iron" Mike DiBiase died a little later on but not positive, so....

Mitsuhara Misawa is one of the top 5 Japanese wrestlers of all time. He died in ring after taking a routine back suplex. His head and neck just quit on him. Granted his promotion wrestled in "strong style" but still.. Here is the aftermath, the family asked that the original video be edited to remove the accident itself.

The "Mass Transit" incident was part of the show, that kid agreed to all of that. The part that made it so "notorious" for New Jack is the amount of blood the kid lost, and the fact that he lied and was actually only 17 years old. Everything else was typical New Jack.

:lmao yes.. Great match.. The indecisiveness by Vic Grimes on the spot led to New Jack going blind in one eye after slamming his head (with all of Grimes 300 lbs on it) on the concrete from 20 feet up. New Jack says he went to the hospital to see Grimes and punched him straight in the face for that.. he also says he purposely threw Grimes farther than he should have during a later scheduled scaffold match in XPW to make him miss these tables.. he nearly succeeded.

Rey Mysterio is the equivalent of a tired old shit bag, tbh..in his younger days he had more flare which led to carrying entertaining matches..now, just like his fellow Mexican Sin Cara, the foreign cruiserweight division is all but extinct in mainstream wrestling..I don't even watch nowadays..the only shit that I keep up with is anything Lesnar or Heyman related..everything else is a big joke, imo..

As we all know the rasslin' biz takes a lot of....hahahaha that phoney ass shit.....but we also know if ya know the sport (and it is) the politics involved, why this guy gets a push and that one doesn't. Why is he a heel, why is someone else a babyface, it's all pretty interesting.

I go back to the days of Gorgeous George so it's in my blood, ha!

McMahan did fuck things up, because before he started closing everyone down we had a half a dozen big time promotions going on. We had options.

Makes you wonder why Cena never turned Heel, tbh..that faggot wanted to turn heel years ago and Vince never gave him the ok. It would be best for business if that happened, the age group from the attitude era would tune in for this out of it being something fresh to the company..

We first see Cena in the OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) as Prototype and he was a heel. he was fueding with Randy Orton a babyface. Also there was Leviathan (Batista) and Brock Lesnar. That's where Vince found them, so Cena came over as a heel.

But, I 'm with you 100%, Cena made a great heel, he sucks as a babyface.

I never watched expecting real fighting so I don't give a shit about whether it's fake..the Monday Night Wars era was on a different level than it's ever been, and was at least written for adults. WWE will probably never have that many good characters at one time again. Plus, ECW was at their peak, and their PPV's starting with Barely Legal were the shit.

Don't get me wrong, dawg..super Cena overcoming the odds was trendy for all of like three ppvs in 2005..the WWE over did that persona..maybe it was because of a lack of talent or just the fact that Vince didn't fully trust another wrestler to carry the ultimate face card that was present years before with Steve Austin and the Rock..

Maybe the only time I can ever agree with you 100%. The show is 3 hours..the only time I will tune in..and that's cause I'm normally working out when Raw is on, is when Heyman or Lesnar are on, I'll know what's going on bc of twitter..what's happening to the IC title at and post Wrestlemania will get some attention, but it's a little to late for that..reading the reviews of Raw online I'm glad I didn't watch a single show from start to finish for this entire calendar year..it's fucking cringeworthy shit..even the Orton and Rollins angle is so predictable and pushed that it defeats the intrigue..and this is coming from somebody who generally likes Orton..

ECW was the shit from 96-99.. they had minimal storylines, but the ones they had were mature.. They had so many good wrestlers, and towards the end they all got raided by by WCW and WWF..

Barely Legal 97' featured RVD, Lance Storm, Taz, Raven, Shane Douglas, Perry Saturn, Sabu, Terry Funk, New Jack, Stevie Richards, The Dudleys, Tommy Dreamer..hell they even brought in Taka Michinoku and Great Sasuke.. They had barely lost Malenko, Misterio, Psychosis, Guererro and Benoit to WCW, and Mick Foley to WWF.. they continued to create top stars even though, they made Mike Awesome, Rhyno, Tajiri, Super Crazy, Bam Bam Bigelow (again) as it winded down.

Do yourself a favor and catch Barely Legal online somewhere and get back to me. No way you can't enjoy that show.

Cervical spine trauma leading to cardiac arrest and a stroke thrown in for good measure too.. god damn

*Edit* Is that shit a typo tbh? Maybe it's supposed to say "suffered a strike in the cervical region" vs. "suffered a stroke"? Also.. fuckkkkkkkk @ "If that was the case, then Aguayo's death would be eerily similar to Mitsuharu Misawa's death almost six years ago where he was internally decapitated when he took a bad bump from a dangerous backdrop suplex in a major NOAH match."
