The only way lurch plays rookies is through injury. Should have kept Canaan.

Good news for the Rockets.

It just means McHale is going to play that turtlehead Terry 30 minutes a game at PG.

He's shown up big in the postseason before and unlike Bev he's been able to hit open 3s.

Beverely isn't great, but it's still a blow, tbh..

Rockets' luck with injuries has been terrible:wow..

Good for other teams Imo..It's a huge blow since Prigioni is probably the alternative.

The hope now is that dwight will be more detrimental than helpful..

He just needs to come back, focus on defense and get rebounds. He can forget about the post ups.

Easy to say..

You have to remeber this guy was a top 5 player in the league onxe upon a time..It's not easy to give up a role.

Hexk Parker is detrimental to San Antonio and he's persistent with his ball hogging. It is what it is...

I expect dwight post ups.

Prigioni is a great PG who just refuses to shoot.

seriously is there a reason why the spurs wont make it to wcf or get out of the west with teh recent injuries and shit to other teams....

Not sure what Rox did to the basketball Gods but y'all do seem to get hit with injuries at the WORST times ... only Blazers have been hit with worse at the wrong times and that's debatable since usually there's normally hit BEFORE the stretch run. Interesting to see if we get Playoff vs the Blazers Dwight. OR the ...

LOL y'all paid him the max...with the promise of more version ... I guess good news (sorta) he won't early opt out (to try and get more) and the damage wont be any worse salary cap wise ... no way he gets more than Rox current deal (well owners are stupid) dude has never been healthy since Orlando he was good not great last year until playoffs ... I think like with Durant the best of Dwight may be long gone ...but at least Durant can shoot.

On paper you have to say the Spurs along with GSW are the faves ... but GSW still needs to prove that come playoffs and Spurs have shown very little consistency all year. Ellis just ethered them a SECOND time this season and they recently lost to the Knicks. It's funny Some of you Spur fans are cliff jumping while others (like you sound) like Laker fans in 2011 with false bravado thinking we can come back from a 2-0 deficit vs. Mavs because "We know how to win" and have great coach. Despite the "recent injuries and shit" the odds are against a Spurs Finals return. 3 straight Finals plus a conference finals the year before is a EXTREMELY difficult run. Better teams than this Spurs collective in weaker playoff fields have failed to pull it off ...
I have annointed your favorites before the season wot turn chickenshit and pick against you ...but If I was to best $ i would take the field or even just GSW over the Spurs right now.

I became a fan of the NBA in 06, and this thread really made me realize I feel like there hasn't been a year I can remember where Houston was remotely healthy for an entire season. Harden should without a doubt be the MVP in my mind.

How does this affect Houston? They've been playing extremely well without him, but I'm thinking this will hurt their post-season chances when matchups become more important. He's a valuable defender.

It's definitely going to hurt. Nick Johnson, rookie from Arizona is the backup and he can defend really well. He can pass too so we will see. Someone is gonna offer Bev crazy money and I hope it's Cuban.

did you just answer your own question?

Well, that's the easy, surface-level analysis. I am admittedly not as familiar with the Rockets roster as say, a Rockets fan would be, so I was hoping for something a little more nuanced, which [mention]djohn2008 provided.

I would love to see Rox/Mavs Round one. Both teams get to benefit from light travel. Tha fans hate each other's teams (though Rox fans hate Cubes more than anyone on roster). The Parsons factor. The morey vs. Cubes ...

And most importantly you have the better team (Rox) and best player vs the better coach (RC) and proven vet (dirk). i will not miss a game and if it goes 6 maybe I go watch at the AAC ...

Houston won't miss a beat imo. Beverley has been pretty shitty this season and his D has always been overrated. If I'm Houston I'm much more worried about Jones.

Jones' lung has supposedly healed. He should be back in a few days.

Pop's allowed himself to be outcoached by several mediocre coaches this year (mostly due to stubborness), so McHale taking Pop's cookie isn't out of the question.

So Jason Terry is their starting PG...

Definitely became more hate-able with my man Bev going down...
