i really dont care if we are cool or not. you know i enjoy baiting people. :lol
No one is responding to you except TGY and that's like once per game. You care more about baiting someone than actually watching the game, so yeah, doesn't seem like a real fan to me. Calling it like I see it.

Kawhi just missed some open shots that he normally makes. Non-issue.
Yup. Not worried at all. Those turnovers are not the norm either.

This team is still too soft mentally. If they hadn't lost Monte Ellis, we'd have lost the game.
The guys collapsed like a tent fortress.

Monta had like ten points with a couple on Belli and in transition. He wasn't doing anything in the halfcourt against FMVPippen tbh.

Now that's a very unsatisfactory win.
They missed quite a few open shots.
No way Pop is good with this performance.
Ill take it, but this is one of those games you need to watch to know we need to change the plugs or something.

If we play at our best, we should beat Memphis pretty comfortably. Memphis has been a mediocre team as of late.

What do you think you saw that I didn't see? They lost their best player just as we failed to adjust to their adjustments and got too jittery to put the ball in the hoop.
It's a major problem for us that when things get heated, the defense is scattered and the offense is rushed. That's why we lose close games and can't close initial overtimes.
The guys have to settle down. Develop some cool about themselves. They're so skittish. Except Boris.

Monta had like ten points with a couple on Belli and in transition. He wasn't doing anything in the halfcourt against FMVPippen tbh.
It helped that Pop threw a bunch of looks at him rather than just having Kawhi guard him. Still felt Green was by far the most effective.

:lol They won by 20. Even when they were having a four point 3rd Qtr the defense held down the fort. Can't believe anybody would criticize the win.

Yep, team still looks soft mentally. Though to be fair, RC really gives Pop fits coaching-wise and causes him to rapidly shuffle rotations. That alone can discombobulate a rythym team like the Spurs.

Meh, I agree that the game was ugly and I'm not satisfied with the actual performance, either..the 2nd half was very painful, the team couldn't generate good looks, at all, Kawhi was terrible, Parker couldn't get going all night, etc..
A W is a W, though, and I wouldn't read too much into this game..I don't believe the Mavs would have won if Ellis had remained in the game, his shot wasn't on tonight, he wasn't really putting pressure on the Spurs' D, either..it was a predictable W after blowing the game vs. Dallas last game on Ellis's fluke performance..they have another "big" game against a declining Memphis team on Sunday, we'll see if the offense looks more fluid..

Got to credit the Spurs D for being on the whole game, even when the offense went to sleep in the 3rd.
That said, the Mavs got screwed hard by the refs. The Spurs still deserved to win, but good lord the refs were inconsistent and missed many fouls on the Spurs. That phantom offensive foul on Marco was a make-up call but not nearly enough to balance things out.

They do a great job of anticipating our off the ball movement and we did not adjust to it.

Really depends on where you go. There's a huge range. I'd rate the restaurants in SF 2nd only to Chicago. You can find some excellent places to eat for under $20 if you know where to look.

Its not about the Mavs, it's about OUR play.
During the playoffs adjustments must be made, In Game.
We were poor at this. And there is some serious lack of confidence exposed in this game. Patty, for example, two wide open air balls? I give him credit for knocking down a 3 in rhythm after the wiffs. But good god, WTF...
The Mavs did make some serious mistakes on D, so we did get some easy shots which is very good. But we were incredibly bad at getting into offensive sets for a lot of the game. It was a scramble to merely not turn it over. It makes the situation very clear that we are not last year's team. And this maybe is asking way too much of this year's team.
I rewatched the the game to find out why it was so hard on me as a fan. The 2nd sentence in the paragraph above is the reason. My take. I will absolutely take the W and the game heavy B had.
