Lets be clear. Boris has a long way to go to equal Bob Horry. Not the threads point.
Could Boris be like Bob, in that he coasts in the reg season, works off those wine bottles and bon bons he enjoyed post Championship then turns it on when it counts this year?
Certainly liking what i am seeing out of Boris this reg seasons ending push.

Last years playoffs, Boris kicked ass. Of course so did almost the entire team.

Boiled down: Could 2015 Boris have a Bob Horry like 2015 playoffs?

If he hip-check Steph Curry yeah.
:lol ya know that just might become neccessary.

If for some reason we come up against the Clips, you know Chrissy Paul needs it.

I do see a comparison in that are both super talented physically and high IQ but kind of lazy. Horry was a better defender and of course loved to take the bob shot, which he made most of the time.

Diaw has a great post up game and should be able to punish small ball lineups in the playoffs.

His 3 pointer against Dallas last year was Horry-esque.

Boris is taking (and making) a lot of top-of-the-key threes like Horry did. Horry was a better defender and clutch shooter, Boris is better at passing and post offense. I could definitely see Boris having a 2005 Horry impact, but I don't think it's terribly likely.

I think he had close to that impact in the OKC and Miami series' last year. And he is playing on a tear, turning it on at just the right time. It's rare to see him so aggressive on offense.

Diaw and Horry-- Spurs Assassins

Pop changed the rotations and started Diaw in Games 3, 4, and 5 of the Finals last year. Miami had no answer...none. The result was three straight beatdowns of the Heat and the Spurs' 5th NBA Championship.

Boris was a huge addition for the Spurs...he can post up, he can shoot the three, and he's one of the best passers in the NBA.

The irony is, after Horry's hipcheck of Nash, Diaw was one of the Suns that came off the bench and got suspended. :lol

Agreed... he literally saved our season with that shot. We had just choked away the lead and were on the verge of losing when he nailed that.

I feel like he was last year with that three against Dallas and his 26 point performance in Game 6 vs. OKC.

Aint no kinda like it. Boris is a better offensive weapon than Horry. Horry had a penchant for coming up big in the biggest games though.

Man, all the fear over that twink from Golden St. is out of control. Curry is a terrific player but he's just one guy. If the Spurs play their game, they'll beat GS in the playoffs. Tomorrow will tell us nothing about a playoff matchup. Spurs need to win to move up in the seedings and get at least 1 HCA. That's whats in their sights.

Horry was a big fan of SPAM. It was like the equinox rejuvenated him.

In the way he does a little of everything when it matters most, he is already Horry-esque.

In the sense of literally hitting a game-winner in a deciding playoff game or something of the like, I can't really see it.

His trey and then -woops clock winding down turnaround j- were classic last night. :toast
Not as huge as the Dallas trey but still Horry-esque right?

c'mon man. diaw has his strengths and he might be better than horry.
but how you gonna say that after the 2005 finals?
that Horry dunk? just nasty as fuck.

and diaw is one of my favorite players in the whole league, but c'mon.

Diaw fakes the pass just to turn around last second and make a fadeaway jumper. That was nasty.
