Goddamn, Jim is an embarrassment to the game, much like his financial decisions and marital life are an embarrassment. Here we have what many of you fat necks call, "The best player since Jordan," and the hump manages to put up 4 fuckin' points! Kobe would kill himself before he would let himself be held to 4 points.

Never, and I mean never, compare Jim to the great Kobe Bryant again.

Pretty good for someone who only attempted 1 field goal during the game. And made.

Not your best troll job, Mid.

Kobe Bryant had worst game of his career vs. Spurshttp://www.sbnation.com/nba/2014/11/15/7225235/kobe-bryant-worst-game-lakers-vs-spurs

ere weren't many expectations going into this Lakers (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/teams/los-angeles-lakers) season, but things have gone even worse than anyone really thought. Steve Nash (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/21914/steve-nash) is out for the season,Julius Randle (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/246166/julius-randle) broke his leg and Byron Scott (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/98699/byron-scott) seems hell-bent on going back in time to the days before the three-point line existed. One of the few pleasures Laker fans have left is watching Kobe Bryant (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/21869/kobe-bryant) work his scoring magic, even at age 36. Going into Friday's game against the Spurs (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/teams/san-antonio-spurs), Bryant was leading the league in scoring at 27.5 per game and, considering his supporting cast, questions about selfishness were for once moot.
Unfortunately, even that was taken away from the Purple and Gold faithful Friday night. Bryant went 1-for-14 from the floor, setting a personal record for worst field-goal percentage in a game in which he attempted more than 10 shots.

Kobe missed his first 10 shots before finally getting a baseline jumper to fall with 11 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

But there were extenuating circumstances. From the LA Times (http://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/la-sp-lakers-spurs-20141115-story.html):

"I didn't feel too good, but I'm used to playing through that. It's tough, man. Tonight was just one of those nights where it makes me really remember the challenge of being 36 and being 19 years in. Body just won't respond when you're sick and you're used to being able to fight through those things. It just helps me really remember exactly what I'm facing. It's tough."
It's always strange to hear Kobe grapple with his own basketball mortality. But it didn't sound like he was making excuses. When asked what was different about playing through an illness this time, Kobe said:

"Nineteen years. That's what's different. In all honestly, it's a long season. I feel great. But tonight was one of those nights where it just caught up. I gotta try to now look at how to adjust -- you know, recovery program -- to try to answer the call, try to answer the challenge when I face a night like tonight in the future."
Bryant still played 36 minutes in a game in which the result never really seemed in question, which was odd considering he was sick. According to Byron Scott, Kobe was being Kobe and wanted to see if he could push through it. Evidently he couldn't, but the commitment he's showing to a team that is 1-8 and has no shot of making the playoffs is commendable.
The Lakers will receive the Warriors (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/teams/golden-state-warriors) Sunday at the Staples Center and Kobe is expected to suit up.

Kobe Bryant hits season low but Lakers push past Suns

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Just when the Los Angeles Lakers thought their season was fully saturated with weirdness, Kobe Bryant made one shot and committed eight turnovers in one of the worst games of his career — and the Lakers still beat Phoenix.Although the Lakers keep finding new ways to flummox their fans and themselves, they're also still finding ways to win.
Dwight Howard had 19 points and 18 rebounds,Antawn Jamison added 19 points, and the Lakers survived Bryant's bizarre four-point performance for their eighth victory in 11 games, 91-85 over the Suns on Tuesday night.
BOX SCORE: Lakers 91, Suns 85 (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/nba/game/boxscore/l.nba.com-2012-e.17667/)
Even in this tumultuous season jam-packed with statistical oddities and high-profile failures, the Lakers' latest victory is a curiosity. Returning from a seven-game road trip, the Lakers hung on to win despite the fifth-leading scorer in NBA history, who had never played this many minutes (36) with just one field goal in his 17-season career.
Bryant didn't attempt a shot in the first half and scored his first basket with 2:13 to play, finishing 1 for 8 in his lowest-scoring game since Jan. 13, 2005, when he left a game against Cleveland after six minutes with an injury.
Yet after the win, he greeted his horrific statistics with a smile.
"I thought it was great, actually," Bryant said. "Obviously, scoring four points, going 1 for 8, that's not necessarily a recipe for success. ... But it's not about us as individuals. It's about what we can do to help the team."

Blowout game and his team won big, don't thin he gives a damn if he got 4 or 40 as long as they win.

Kobe would have been chucking shots 10 mins after the game ended. Tim and Tony both had only 4 points. But both had some interesting stats to go along with those points. Timmy had 7 boards, 4 dimes, 2 blocks and a +20. Tony 9 dimes and a +24. Guess Pop would rather let the HOT hand Kawhi Leonard have the ball to shot when everything is dropping for him. Oh well, I guess a 5 time champion team has to have a night where the bench can get playing time.

FYI, just checked the court and Kobe is still trying to score 80. It has been 3 hours of shooting. He is at 30 for 75.
