Is it a concern going into the Playoffs?

haven't even peaked

still need to get some solid play from TP, Mills to find his shot, a little consistency from Boris, and more than 3 good minutes from Manu

I think 2012 is a prime example of "peaking too soon" and "momentum" as being a myth. The Spurs won 20 games in a row only to lose 4 straight to the Thunder.

Also, last season they looked lethargic and not playing up to potential against Dallas, and then turned it around for the rest of the playoffs.

If the Spurs win out to get the 2nd/3rd seed they'll be on a winning streak heading to the first round, it can get to their heads especially when they lose their first PO game remember 2012

Id still rather they not on a long winning streak heading into the POs tbh

8 straight wins by an average of 20.9 ppg. Some of our guys are playing below their potential too. We haven't got close to peaking. Look out GSW and whoever makes it out of the east... Spurs are comin' for you.

That being said I hope we lose a game before the playoffs start so we aren't entering the playoffs on a double digit win streak like 2012, and Tiago has to come back to,

Married rob.....never got a chance to use the D.E.N.N.I.S. system.

Personal fav episode: CharDee MacDennis: The game of games

Fucking hilarious when Frank gets put in jail. The only way to get out of jail is to eat a cake. He says something like well shit that's easy. But he then finds out that it's the ingredients for a cake. This nigga is eating flour and raw eggs to get out of jail.

If you haven't seen that episode I highly recommend it....

Too soon? what you mean? Portland peaked too soon last season and ran out of fuel for the last 25 games.
This is the perfect time 4 games from the playoffs.

Game 6 OKCRef approached the level of LakerRef2002.
Who knows if we would have won Game 7 but....

SilverSpur

Not even close to peaking. Patty still needs to find his shot, Splitter is hurt, too many team turn overs. Would rather be on 8 game win streak and winning 17 out of last 20 than not.

Nothing was stopping the refs from sending OKC to the Finals back in 2012. The Spurs had about as much chance to win that WCF as Dallas had to win the 2006 Finals.

2004 they entered the playoffs on a huge win streak as well and swept the first round and then won two in a row against LA (Won for a month total I believe), then lost 4 in a row :(

Could Golden State or Hpuston be the new Lakerefs/Thunderefs to backdoor sweep us :lol

I think Pop is using injury scares to thwart any sense of "peaking" until the playoffs start.

He's having his cake and eating it too -- the team takes the "must wins" but there's no sense of well-being.

Enrique disappeared in '04 and '12 after Game 2 once the going got tough. That's why they lost those two series, not bc a long winning streak gave the team a big head. :lol

'04 vs Lakers
Games 1-2: 25 ppg, 7 apg, 1 TO per game on 50% shooting
Games 3-6: 12.5 ppg, 5.5 apg, 4 TOs per game on 31% shooting

'12 vs OKC
Games 1-2: 26 ppg, 7 apg, 3 TOs per game on 61% shooting
Games 3-5: 16 ppg, 4 apg, 3 TOs per game on 39% shooting
Game 6: 29 points, 12 assists, 1 TO on 44% shooting

Classic Enrique disappearing acts tbh.

It's still the regular season last time i checked so there is a chance the spurs are peaking and might fall short to their ultimate goal, obviously i hope that's not the case

Last season, spurs stumbled going into the POs, found their groove in game 7 vs dallas and peaked the rest of the way and played as well as they could have in The Finals, thats about a 17 game stretch of excellent basketball with everyone shooting the ball very well

Well if anyone suddenly starts playing like shit it's obviously game over. If you are healthy and lose in the playoffs you just weren't good enough..

If the spurs win out, it's gonna be a 12 game winnjng streak heading to the POs

is it a legit concern tbh?

Even with our injuries, we should be able to beat this Clipper team. Seems like we peaked too early.
