The battle for the 1978 scoring race came down to the last day with the two leaders--GG & David Thompson very close together. After scoring enough to win the title by a nice margin, Gervin was taken out of the game for most of the 4th quarter.

The highlight vid of Gervin was shown at his retirement dinner.

Nice...thanks for sharing. The Iceman was truly unique. The fingerroll was an incredible shot. He had one of the sweetest jumpers. He shot the ball with so much style. You see it in his reverse layups and as he knifed through the lane with the old school double clutch moves. Ice knew all the angles and all the ball spins off the glass. Just an amazing offensive machine.

Most newbies don't know that the fabled Dr. J once said that Gervin was the player he most liked to watch. And Magic saying he learned from Gervin's "magic" was neat.
