1. Get this out of the way first.. Spurs won 50 games again.

2. If the Spurs cannot beat the Clippers/Rockets/Mavs/Grizz on the road, they don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of facing a team they absolutely must beat on the road in GS.

So suck it up. Walk it off. Move on.

Time for game 1 of the 1st round.

Silver linings: Point guards seem to be back. Parker with a huge game, Patty seems to have his shot back

Dark dark clouds: Leonard may have played his worst game of the season tonight, and the last 4 have been poor to mediocre. Manu shitting the bed again in big games.

Only positive I take is now the first round will be exciting due to the spurs being behind the 8 ball.

All it takes is one game on the road.

Getting bent over by Norris Cole counts as having a huge game?

Last 4 was GS, 2 Rox, Suns. He played mediocre last game, but 3/4 he played great.

Pop was a bit too quick with the Hack-Asik imo, the Spurs were clawing their way back in and the Pels offense was in shambles. Pop probably tried to take advantage of Asik while he was still in, but it ended up backfiring a bit since the Spurs forgot how to play defense when the hacking stopped.

Disappointing last game of the season, but the Spurs are still one of the hottest teams post all-star break and I think they've got a good chance against anyone in the league except GS, and the Clippers or Portland (2 possible opponents) aren't terrible match-ups for the Spurs. If they play Portland, Portland has been sliding and are hurt. If they play Clippers, the Spurs could probably hide Parker on either JJ or Barnes and get away with it, and the Clippers don't really have a back-up PG who could abuse the Spurs' perimeter defense (Austin dominating the Spurs is too embarrassing to even consider).

I'm in this camp, you wanna go all the way, you gotta win on the road... IIRC, we did it in every series last season

Clippers will be easy pickings as long as Pop doesn't go retarded in his rotation and resort to too much hack a jordan

Wrong strategy this game. Pop forced Asik out, which brought Ryan Anderson in. He immediately pulls our big out of the lane, two back-to-back layups for NO, comeback killed.

Anderson checking in opened the game back up on O for NO

Its not being the 6th seed or going on the road that's enfuriating, it's the fact that Pop took a shit on the team's chances to have an easier road with his rotations.

They are the hottest team of the last 25 games. :lol That doesn't magically go away just because we lost a game to the Pelicans, a team trying to avoid elimination.
