Tiago Splitter is such a good defensive player, his defense helps every single player on the team. Kawhi's perimeter defense jumps up a notch with Tiago on the floor, the Golden God gives Kawhi/Danny time to recover off of PnR etc and get deflections etc.

:cry Tiago pls :cry

Yeah definetly not Parker's fault. He's been stellar this whole season.

We would've won this game if Splitter had played.

Pop said Tiago would play if this was a playoff game. IMHO this was more important than a game 1 of the playoffs.

Yep..

Spurs' pick&roll D was horrendous, especially Tim's, sucks that Splitter is so fragile..

This is really the only reason I'm freaking out. The 11 game streak was a good step in the right direction, the loss against the Pelicans was pathetic but forgivable. This whole SPAM run is all pointless if Splitter isn't healthy, especially since we are facing the Clippers/Rockets in the first two rounds without HCA. :pctoss

I'd rather be the 8 seed with a healthy Splitter than have home court without him.

Hope he can play in the playoffs...

No Tiago = no shot at a ring, doesn't matter if we have HCA or not. The way the Spurs roster is constructed, if we lose any of the 4 main frontcourt players (TD, Diaw, Splitter, KL) the team isnt winning a series in the West

This was a playoff game. At least a game that has big playoff implications. It's the difference between doing something that has only been done once ('95 Rockets). Hopefully Pop knows something and the Clippers are in for a surprise with the 3rd seed. Doc Rivers has already started complaining about how the seeding isn't fair.

Just shows how statistics can lie.

Baynes and Splitter generally put up relatively similar raw statistics and I don't hate Baynes, but Splitter makes this team championship calibre.

Agree that Splitter is the difference maker against the Pelicans.

Yeah Splitter not playing is pretty damn worrisome. If he can't start the damn playoffs he better be ready by Game 3 next Friday in San Antonio...

Splitters calf dissolved into his leg. He will prove calves aren't worth anything more than prime tattoo real estate :tu
