Can't say I agree with the intentional fouling in this game. I wish they would have just played it out. I think Pop messed up the Spurs rhythm more than the Pelicans. It kind of gave them the chance to regroup as the Spurs were putting the pressure on. It's one thing if they had a Harden or Curry-type player going off on them or the potential to go off on them. Oh well, on to the playoffs!

I think Ginobili playing more minutes then Green and Belinelli getting close to the same amount of minutes as Green are bigger issues.

The Pelicans weren't making shots and the Spurs had momentum. It was an incredibly stupid decision. He should have stopped when the deficit got down to 4.

It really is a stupid strategy to use against a 59% ft shooter.

In before Chris Paul's whiny face as he tries to shoot half court 3's everytime DeAndre gets fouled.

it didn't work against houston. and i'm not against the strategy, but asik is not that bad and we were having momentum AND have everything to stop them on every possession. Of course you can't play The Cancer if you are going to, but..

Wrong strategy this game. Pop forced Asik out, which brought Ryan Anderson in. He immediately pulls our big out of the lane, two back-to-back layups for NO, comeback killed.

Anderson checking in opened the game back up on O for NO

Deandre is the perfect person to foul thought at 40% fts. Should work brilliantly against him. If it seriously alters the series it could impact his next contract.

If a guy is making 1 out of 2 it isn't working, since that is the same as allowing 50% on field goals. I also think it took the spurs out of their rhythm and didn't work, although it did get Asik out of the game.

If the Clippers lose the series, I'll bet any amount of money that the league will change the rule, tbh..

It's not that I don't like the strategy, but just not in this game and at that time.
So you get Asik out of the game...it's not like he has a defensive impact on the game like the Clips Jordan. You're also not excuting it to keep the ball out of the hands of a player like Harden, Curry or Thompson.

Also, you're making a run with out it.

That's bullshit. If they do that they better make opposing pgs wear ankle weights against Tony.

Yeah it basically just gave them the chance to refocus their attention on the defensive end. They came back with more intensity on the defensive end that hadn't been seen since the 1st quarter. We had all the momentum prior to that decision and they had all the momentum by the time it was over.

doesn't matter when parker bricks a shot and the opponent hits a transition 3

ginobili has been bad lately... he's going to need to step it up in the playoffs like he did last year. he was probably the series MVP against the Mavs, along with splitter

i can understand pop's logic on this. the refs are being assholes calling fouls left and right for the other team. it's only a matter of time before they start sending good free throw shooters to the line on bullshit calls. if they're gonna call fouls anyway, we might as well send their worst free throw shooter to the line. i have no problem with this.

you can sometimes see what the refs are doing. especially when they've called 4 quick fouls in the first couple minutes of the quarter.

The league doesn't give a fuck about us. Now, if their beloved Rockets and manufactured superstar Harden lose to the Mavs with their whole frontcourt getting hacked (as well as Houston likely hacking Rondo in return), that will be the excuse for a rule change.

Tom Rivers's bitching should be entertaining this series.
