KL not really used to the double team, and it seemed to fluster him -- need to get him more touches in the motion offense and less in iso situations. Tim needs to go at Jordan or else he'll be free to go pogo stick on D -- too much Baynes as a primary option in the post in this game (head scratching really). Hopefully Parker and Splitter feel better health-wise for the next game bc they weren't a factor tonight. Danny Green needs to see a few 3 balls go in to get his confidence back, and Boris needs to play a larger facilitating the offense is TP is less than 100 percent. Manu played with balls today, but was the only one (may be Mills and marco too).

Spurs typically start slow in the first round, but there is wiggle room in this series starting on the road.

All away games btw. This team is atrocious on the road which doesn't look good for a team that won't have homecourt in the first three rounds. People reallllly need to stop underestimating the importance of homecourt advantage. It's funny to think about it but the Pelicans probably ended any shot we had a title with that win last week. The Spurs didn't quit, but they also didn't come out with any energy at all. The started the game on the back foot again (a trend they seem to be developing on the road). That needs to stop right now. They also didn't even try to match physicality with the Clippers at all. The Clippers pushed them around all night and the Spurs didn't really respond the way they should have.

The start of the game again told the story of how the Spurs were looking/going to play. They didn't come out ready to compete IMO. They did compete throughout the game, but for some reason they don't seem ready to do it at the start of games. You shouldn't be coming out like this in a road playoff game. I have no idea what they think they can accomplish doing that.

The first quarter seems to be a problem with the wrong tone being set. Not to bash on Parker, but it doesn't seem like the Spurs have an identity when he starts out gunning or playing a two man game with Tim.

Statistically, it was an awful game for the Spurs last night. I'm not surprised they lost. Better get it together or it's gonna be a short series.

We started the game with two wide open 3s for Danny and he missed them. I'm sure if he makes them, we're talking how the Spurs came out on fire. We were clearly wholly unprepared for certain things, like Kawhi getting doubled, but that's what happens in the playoffs. Team watch a lot of tape and try to match up with you. Now we get to do the same. Hopefully we can shoot better too.
