Space is truly terrifying. It makes one think of how insignificant humanity is outside of its own habitat. We're nothing but a tiny pixel that will disappear without a trace in a relative blink of an eye.

I swear I'm just right in the middle. I find this stuff unbelievably interesting yet it never affects my view on Earth or humanity or whatever. Of course we're a speck of a speck of a speck times infinity, but all the shit that's going on is here is as real as it gets. I appreciate both the incomprehensible size of the universe and the significance our world is

here we hang
out in space
the Earth
and the human race

surrounded by planets
far far away
millions of stars
and the Milky Way

how long have we been here
when will it all end
only God knows
it's all up to Him

the universe is huge
could say it's vast
but just like the Earth
how long can it last

SnakeBoy
04-18-2015, 01:47 PM
you don't

True. So there's one.

We have a million mile long and high rock, once every million years a bird stops by to sharpen his beak, by the time it takes him to whittle that rock down to nothing that would equal one inch in the size of the universe.

That's one salty bird.

An old bird that's for sure.

And none of that stuff really phases me. It's cool and all but it is what it is. Just distance. We put people on the moon for God's sake. By the time Pluto orbits again, we'll have humans living on another planet. We're the most significant living thing that we are aware of. Assuming a big ass comet doesn't hit us.

In the world if a million mile rock, it might be normal.

In the world if a million mile rock, it might be normal.

A world of million mile high rocks where birds sharpen beaks in order to defend themselves against the dreaded hawks of Hyboria. Hmmmm?
