i am. do you really think we are going to repeat? i mean after all this time it's going to happen now. i dunno we're due for some shitty early round exit. we had a good chance with the 2 seed but blew that. chris paul im sure is tired of getting his ass kicked by us and will have some epic series. we'll lose and tim and manu will retire and the team will never be the same. :cry:cry:cry:cry:cry

I already called it days ago

I look at this as the Rockets in 94-95. Adding Drexler late in the season like getting KL and TS back from injury. Having to go through the best record in the league to win. Spurs get their B2B this year. If not now, then for sure in 2017.

We've had periods where the TEAM ball has been as good as last year.
Can / will we do that again?
Bring on the games.

I'm scared of another phuck up MeBall bullshit series where Pock sits and stares.
I'm also hopeful he will turn in another playoff coaching job like last year. :toast

Not my attitude. Once you win, it's your money. #6 with a B2B coming from the 6 seed to beat GSW and Lebron once more. That would top 5 IMO.

What is with y'all? I've enjoyed all 5 and would be fine if that's it. But discounting how important 6 would be is nuts.

I think the key is Dallas. I dont think the Spurs can win 3 straight road series but if they can draw Dallas in round two then it would be essentially just one extra road series for drawing the 6th seed.

So Go Mavs, and go Grizz

Nobody is discounting how nice 6 would be. It's just a reality that winning it all is hard, you gotta get a lot of breaks going your way. It was great it all came together last season, especially the way it did and against the Heat and what not.

It's just that the whole redemption storyline will be hard to top, tbh

Getting your first title is important. Spurs have five fucking rings. 6 would be nice, but it's just a spoiled attitude to say it's important tbh.

I agree with all of that. But this would clearly top it IMO. This would be the toughest ring ever for them.

I'm scared of Pop not learning his lesson from last year regarding Marco Belineli. They were losing the series to Dallas when he was benched finally. He's awful. With Parker playing like a homeless, terrible shooting Calderon the Spurs can't afford to have Marco chasing Crawford and Redick. Losing his guy, committing dumb holding fouls, the usual Marco garbage.

Wouldn't surprise me if Pop goes to Beli in this series, looking for offense, tbh.... and practically speaking, if Beli can't outplay Hedo when the benches are playing, then it's just ridiculous...

Spurs also need to do a better job on Big Baby than they did during the regular season. With the possibility that Hack-a-Jordan might cause Doc to sit his ass out for stretches, Big Baby will get minutes, and he scored at will against us during the season.

I could see the Spurs losing this series in so many ways.

But Big Baby?

Do you realize how talented this Clipper team is?

If Splitter would be 100%, this would be much less of a concern, tbh... but looking at "By the numbers" article on NBA.com (http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2015/04/17/numbers-preview-clippers-spurs/), this comes up when looking at matchups:

Griffin (22-for-29), Jordan (16-22) and Glen Davis (9-for-10) shot a combined 47-for-61 (77.0 percent) in the restricted area.

I can see Griffin going off, and Jordan will get some off of lobs and putbacks... but Davis killing us should be preventable...

ClipperRef is a concern.
Stern Jr. is proving himself to be just as incompetent/sell out as of a commissioner as Stern.
Payback to Balmer for bailing him out of a very uncomfortable situation?
Can you imagine if Donny Stern would not have been bought out by Balmer and the case continued on? With Donny Stern threatening to hire private eyes to dig up dirt on other NBA owners and commissioners office? :lmao
Along with todays nuttless NBA having such *stars* as CPFlop and Griffin needing to be *marketed*. I also see Blake Griffin is becoming more and more Kobmelike with his injury causing offensive cheapshot no call fouls. If he continues to get away with this ssshit per Stern Jr.s orders, it can change a series.

It's possible, but it's hard to forget we just won a championship under Stern Jr, eliminating in the process league darlings like Lillard, Aldrige, Durant, Westbrook, Lebron...

Maybe what it will take is another dominant performance, so there's no room for alleged fixing...

Yes but since we just 'Shipped, does that (in Stern Jrs. peabrain) make it all the moreso that screwing the Spurs is not an issue.

It's not like it takes a ton of calls. Lets say twice Timmy stuffs Blake Griffin and twice Kawhi blocks then swipes the ball completely clean from CPFlop. Yet both times the rigged calls go against. That's a swing of not only 8 points but, if say in the early 1st qtr, Pop may have to take both of them out. We've seen this movie plenty of times and while yes, lets just have a dominant game and take the refs out, cmon lets face it no NBA is soo much better that they can overcome an inordinate amount of riggers.

This is why I leave the conspiracy stuff to you Fabbs... I just couldn't watch a game if I think it's rigged. Over a 7 game series, I think the best team wins, except for very few exceptions (see: NBA Finals 2013).
