If push comes to shove, with Splitter not being 100%, to maybe Timmy getting into foul trouble against 2 dominate big men in LAC.

Maybe Pop will use Matt like he did to move Ibaka from the line and forced to guard Matt as he is a 3 pointer threat. Let's hope Pop can make major chess moves during the game. By doing this move it opens up the lane enough for Tony and Kawhi to attack.

If Spurs are relying on Bonner or Pop to pull some rabbit out of a hat to win this series then they should just go home now.

SA is clearly the better team. Just impose the will and it will be a 4 game series.

Have you forgotten what "BonBon" did vs the Thunder last year Conf Finals? Give him some credit as he saved our asses to move Ibaka away from the lane. Game 5 we where tied 2-2, Spurs with a 2 game losing streak as Ibaka became effect enough to provide good defense for the Thunder. Pop made a move to start Matt Bonner and from there we where able to beat them.

This. When I heard Bonner was starting I thought that shit was over but he proved me wrong.

Bonner should be a no-go in this game unless Hack-a-Jordan is in play with the Spurs up double digits and Splitter/Duncan/Diaw in foul trouble.

The Spurs would simply not be able to protect the defensive glass against Griffin/Jordan with Bonner out there.

Bonner will undoubtedly get some minutes this series, as he always does in the playoffs. Hopefully he shows up, would be a pleasant surprise. But don't hold your breath.

50% injured Ibaka and BonBon was able to hit a few of his zero pressure YMCA shots.
Woopie.

Your right about 50% Ibaka during game 1 and 2... but he recovered enough on game 3 and 4 which he looked damn near 100%

Isn't that the truth, he plays a small role on the team and hopefully does not get too much PT. I can see then running past him and rebounding over him like crazy.

Matt Bonners famous game he started against OKC in the first half, he stretched the FLOOR but hit how many shots?

Your right about that tho :lol
But what counts is that he can open up the lane... might be useful in some situations. Just something Pop can use to throw them off a little bit.

That is the only situation he is useful in because you surely can't count on him hitting any shots.

Start Bonner. We need his spacing, and on defense, put him on Deandre. Whenever DJ gets the ball, get Bonner to hug him.

Bonner worked against OKC. I think he'll work again this time. If his shots are not falling bench him

Actually, Clippers would just put Blake on Bonner and keep DeAndre on the big in the paint. You'd have to have to take out Splitter and Baynes, which would kill our interior defense.

Well so far 5 games into it.... I would have to say he is not the Xfactor but is helping lol

I think he played his role perfectly in game 5. Hacked DeAndre, made some threes. That's what we need him to do.

X-factor! Hey, he hit a 3 pointer. Maybe Ayres can get us an and 1.

At this point, I'm surprised that Bonner is even shooting threes. It seems like over the past couple years when he comes into the game whenever he gets the ball he immediately passes up open shots. If Bonner is going to get spot minutes as a rotational player, he has to shoot the rock. Even if it doesn't go in, the players have to respect him.

That being said, Bonner sucks and shouldn't see any playoff time unless it's absolutely permitted. If we get passed the Clippers, in no shape or form should he see any minutes in the Rockets series - that series is not for him.
