I thought he would win it. His missed games were greatly overexaggerated by people on this forum. He didn't miss THAT many games, and they were all early in the season, when no one cared anyway. He finished strong, and that's why he won.

The reason Duncan never won it is that he's too good of an offensive player. Voters prefer to vote for defensive-specialists for this award. Bowen should have won it, but honestly Kawhi is an even better defender.

I mean, his nickname is the Claw. When your nickname is predicated on your defense...you're probably a DPOY.
