View Full Version : That Kawhi ally oop dunk signaled the New Era.

That was probably the loudest it's been since the memorial day miracle. It feels like 1999 again. It feels like the early Robinson era with the fans and town excited and full of youthful raucousness. It doesn't feel like 2010 at alL when we were all preparing to dim the lights. It was just so fitting that Danny Green fed Kawhi that oop.

We are in good hands...

Their alley-oop vs the Warriors a few weeks ago got everybody hyped, but this one was on another level..

Honestly the outfielders in baseball shouldn't be allowed to wear gloves. Watching them attempt barehanded grabs would add some excitement even on routine fly outs.

AT&T center was ridiculous tonight. Everyone stood up a second before Kawhi flushed that oop, and they nearly brought the house down when he did. Great game to see in person.

At the game live it looked like Danny overthrew him badly...then a split second later not only does Kawhi grab it but snaps it down quick to finish the oop. What an amazing play.

Ya I'm loving that too...he gets compared to Pippen a lot but that turn around fadeaway and his pull up jumper off the dribble are eerily Jordanesque. If he shows he can win games in the clutch (offensively) he will be a solid league MVP candidate. Also throw in some baseline dunks in his arsenal just for good measure on the Jordan comparison.

Best part of the oop is Blake gathering himself to snatch the lob, stopping after realizing its way to high for someone to get, only to turn around with Kawhi reaching up with his 7' wingspan and mitts to grab it and throw it down.

When he turns around it reminded me of this...that scene in cloudy with a chance of meatballs when everyone is gasping as they turn around :lol

I dont' know why, but Danny Green throws the best alley oops to Leonard on nba2k. Parker cant throw them properly, ginobli, or anyone else like Green on game and it seems that way in real life. I discovered that last year when I did it 3 plays in a row.

Man, the AT&T Center crowd is so underrated it's criminal. They flat out gave it up after that alley, and proceeded to continue to lose their shit.

Side note: Can you imagine if Green had been able to wrest the ball away and outlet it to Kawhi who'd already started to take off? :lol

Gotta be something with the TV mic placements. I always have people tell me after they've been there, "man, I didn't know the AT&T Center got so loud so often."

It was a great play, but Kawhi's had his fair share of amazing dunks since his rookie season. To me, the signal was that entire 3rd quarter, where the variety and debelopment in his game was on full display when he took over--drives, spot ups, post up fade-always, coming of curls.

Yeah, mic placement is definitely part of it. Ever notice how Dallas has the LOUDEST net swoosh in the league? I swear those faggots must have spent at least a million on cutting edge net mics to have the loudest, clearest free throw sounds on the planet.
