of 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks for a 37 year old. Both blocks on Griffin and Davis.

Prob the best 2-point performance you could ask for from him, tbh.

Yep, outstanding..the offense is expected, but his defense and hustle was beautiful..

I started watching the spurs because of Manu and it really was because in his rookie year he played like every damn game is a game 7..At least that`s how I felt when i was 12

Him and Timmy have been two of the greatest competitors ever.

Really showed up in the second half :tu can't really ask him to extend the lead with Bonner out there

That was the main drag in the 1st half too, tbh... fucking Ginger can't hit a wide open shot...

It's good to see Gino still able to do the little things even when he's not scoring. I thought he guarded Crawford real well too.

1st half was terrible, he got schooled repeatedly by Austin Rivers :lol 2nd half was respectable, but it wasn't much of a game by the time he entered.

Yup his first half defense was terrible, but he gave us open shots that Mills and Bonner just flat out missed. In the second half, he was what the team needed and his defense... Chuckford went 1/11 :lol

really? He went in when we were up 16 in the 3rd Q... that's when he blocked both Griffin and Big Baby, we ended up the quarter up 21...

Like I said, up 16 when he came in, game was in hand.

In the first half Rivers took him off the dribble once and then dropped a 3 in his face on another possession. Austin Rivers.

You didn't include the minutes & # of attempts ...how can you measure his % if he has no numbers to begin with? :)
Is 6 assists that low to you? That is = to 12 pts. Or 18 on 3-pointers.
What can you do in 16 minutes when Pop run the offense thru Kawhi & Diaw.?
He had 50% FG (1x out of 2 attempts) , 6 rebounds & 6 assists(could have been 10 if the red mamba & co made those open shots..)

I doubt if his score will be the same if it was a close game.

One play, that's why he was terrible? :lol

He got the team open looks, moved the ball well. The defense was atrocious during that stretch because you had Beli and Bonner out there, and Tiago throwing the ball on Beli's back, crofl. It was a clusterfuck.

That bench lineup has to score, they've been subpar defensively all season.

He had 2 TOs in the second quarter tbh.

When I saw him pumped and yelling after going for a loose ball I had to smile, that is the fiery Manu we all know.

He's been solid these playoffs. as long as he keeps the turnovers down he's golden

Hope his three point shot comes around soon. Would like to see him pass Reggie and move up to 2nd on the all-time playoff 3-Pts made list.

Evita with the solid defense, but he threw one away early in the game that pissed me off.

This thread now makes it an overrated performance.

Was pretty much a non-factor IMO. Would have made little difference if he didn't play.

We won.. the Big 3 has an ok game.. Man of the moment is Kawhi..

Most importantly Griffin seem to have been kneaded on the knee..

Let's move on..

Those two unforced turnovers in the second qtr were still frustrating. But he settled down and had a solid game after that.

That's what I want from Manu this post season. Play within your means at age 37, don't have unforced turnovers.

It was an excellent game from Manu, I thought his hustle was crucial to the bench not blowing the lead too badly when they were missing shots.

27. Seems like it's only possible if we make a deep playoff run. Here's the top ten:

385 - Ray Allien
320 - Reggie Miller
294 - Manu Ginobili
292 - Kobe Bryant
285 - Derek Fisher
267 - Chauncey Billups
261 - Robert Horry
248 - Paul Pierce
236 - Jason Kidd
233 - Lebron James

Reggie Miller is the ONLY one who doesn't have a ring on the list.

love Manu but they would've won perfectly fine even without him playing at all. Nice that he had a decent game though.

Nice game by Manu, it could have ended easily with 10 assists as most open looks he generated were a miss, but anyways good game.
I think this kind of games are very good for him and for the Spurs, as most likely the Clippers will now change to a Dallas like defense ad in that case he will have to score more on the pick n roll. Good that he is not forcing things either, and the blocks were great. Loved how griffin cried foul when there was nothing.

I also think officials didn't show any respect and he had thus troubles building confidence to attack the basket. Still, he handled that pretty well, didn't go 2/10 or something.

And the open looks, man, come on, you have to be blind not to see he makes the bench so much more effective. Bonner, Belli... remove manu and all the lead built by the starters vanishes in 5 minutes.

The defense was also very good, IMO, not only the blocks, it didn't looked at all like he is 37. AT ALL.

To all those who are saying that he was a non factor or the game was already out of hand, we might be singing a different tune had the Clippers made a comeback. He kept the Clippers' defense honest by providing the Spurs' shooters good looks. And it also might have given Clippers momentum had he not blocked those shots. (Granted, we might never know that.)

Our three PGs made a total of 3 assists. Manu also hustled for those blocks at the age of 37. There are YouTube videos of those blocks.

He played Crawford straight up a few times and looked extremely quick on his feet, didn't fall for any pumpfakes, dribble moves or counters. Was impressive. The difference in Manu's man to man defense in a playoff game vs regular season is quite startling :lol

:lol

Has he retired six months early or something?

At some point the realization he can't score is gonna' hurt his facilitation of the offense. Defenses are figuring this out.
