Out of the 3 Losses, did we lose the series in the end?

Out of the 3 Losses, did we lose the series in the end?

Lost in 6 to LA in 2004 (Game 5 was Fisher's .4 shot)
Won in 7 against NO in 2008
Lost in 6 to OKC in 2012 (Game 5 was Harden's late shot to quell a last-gasp Spurs rally)

Only you know your answer to that question.

No, a loss in game 6 or 7 and cliff jump away

Contrary to popular belief I am confident that we can win a road game 7 vs the clippers. Unless they shoot lights out, its anyone's game, and we are by far the most experienced in road game 7 situations.

I believe that we will win game 5, I think it will be in a convincing way, no reason except I don't believe the Spurs will shoot that poorly in game 5 and the Clipper won't receive the same bench play two games in a row. JMHO.

I'm just worried that the Spurs is completely gone. They can't make the Clippers pay for anything.

Clippers are playing very good defense and when the Spurs do finally get an open shot it ends up being a total brick. I feel like the Spurs have to work twice as hard to get good shots than the Clippers do. Not a good omen for this series.

On the upside, Diaw looked much better (though his outside shot is MIA) and you have to hope Danny Green can find his stroke before all fans end up having one with a game 5 loss. Pop also has to play much better lineups out there, and not have such a short leash on Green.

Completely done because we are 2-2 vs the 3rd best team in the league without homecourt? lol

God, some of yall are fucking ridiculous

Nice stats.
And since Game 6 OKC loss was a rigger, even better for Series results after Game 5s.

Exactly, and the Fisher shot really wasnt off in time so that loss barely counts.

Its asleep, like last year vs the Mavs, granted we showed signs of life in game 3 but we have been inconsistent all year. If we are championship material, we will find a way to win 2 of the next 3 imo

My concern is Green doesn't seem to hit a lot of shots on the road. Got to have him out there for defense but also need him to score since TP has jump shot now...

I think Green shows up big in game 5 tbh

3-1 on the road and 12-3 overall. Pretty awesome record.

I expect them to play much better tomorrow but the game is a toss up. I've got the Clippers winning Game 7 tbh...

Spurs winning Game5 ON THE ROAD would be a huge predictor of Spurs winning the series (as in '05)

DAL needs to keep HOU playing for at least one more game. DAL looked great last night.

Spurs win game 5 = 75% chance to win series

Spurs lose game 5 = 20% chance to win series

I'm happy if it goes L, W, W, L, W, W :)

wishful thinking though. Have to be sharp tomorrow night. Capitalize on the open shots, and defend with far more urgency. They got too many open looks, even Kawhi didn't fight hard enough around some screens set for Redick.

This team is going to have to win a lot of big games on the road to win a title this year because of their record. So if they can't win game 5, it is what it is. That said, I like their chances of winning game 5 over their chances of winning game 7. Game 7 at home is a big advantage.

I'm not convinced the Spurs can win this series but its definitely possible. The right Spurs team just needs to show up and not the unmotivated, lazy version of this team.

If DG and Splitter would just hit 33%, we'd be in business.

Danny was awful, and Mills was abused on the defensive end by whoever he was trying to guard. The Clips played great and we looked terrible defensively. This series is going to be won by whichever team shows up on any given night. Pretty even match, best 2 out of 3 with HCA to the Clips. I'd say the Spurs backs are against the wall.

Seriously, if there is any team in the NBA that can choke a 3-2 lead away it's LAC. And the Spurs have already beat CP3 in his prime after losing Game 5, in 7 games in his own building. While I expect a win tomorrow, a loss is not the end just yet

He was hitting the same bullshit shots then that he is now. Just has a better supporting cast this time around. But we are better than in 08 as well.

Experience counts immensely. Cp3 was a playoff virgin. No way you can compare NOLA CP3 to today's imo

Don't get me wrong he still CPchoke until proven otherwise. But he rally knows how to orchestrate his team in a playoff game as opposed to virgincp3

Did that mid air twirybird shit shot he threw up actually get partially blocked?

young CP3 had no 3 pt shot. and he was not as effient a shooter. much easier to defend

this CP3 has a lethal 3 PT shot 45% for the series and is also shooting 58% FG

this CP3 is deadly. :pctoss

Wow, 12-3 in game 5s when tied 2-2...that's probably best among all NBA franchises, I'm guessing.

That's a great record, but it doesn't mean much. This year's version of the Spurs is a coin flip on the road. Too much inconsistency on both sides of the ball. Just gotta hope that the beautiful game spurs show up tomorrow.

Champions win big road games, especially pivotal game 5s.

Yup. But what stings the most is that we were a regular season road win away from sweeping the Mavs and looking primed to repeat.

Unless Timmy is having a godlike game I would stay far away from 4-down.

Spurs never make a great showing the year after a trophy. That's ok with me because we've had 5 iterations. They did ok in their younger years, but it's amusing to see how people expect a team on the cusp of evolution to catch lightning in a bottle over and over. They are a great team but hunger plays a large part in hunting and the Spurs are still digesting the kill they made almost a year ago. They are still capable of finding resonance and resurrecting the "beautiful game" but everyone needs to be involved, and right now almost no one is. That doesn't bode well for them.

If they lose, tip your hat to the Clippers, they finally got away from the Spurs in the playoffs, like a ship escaping the event horizon of the black hole.

I want to see the Spurs win again, but I'm very satisfied with what we have already. I was satisfied with the 50 game season tbh.
