He will probably command around 6 to 8 million a year. If Danny doesn't resign. Carroll is a good substitute...IMO

We already know he's a willing team player too.

what do you guys think?

He could be a good replacement for when green leaves for $10 million per year and the big name free agents like LMA and Gasol tell the Spurs no.

I don't know. Let me think about it.

Barea is also a good target. He will probably be around 1 to 2 million dollar a year...The spurs badly need a Guard penetrator..

Pop would bench him when he showed his athleticism.

Carroll isn't going to be any cheaper than Danny, tbh..3&D players are the hot commodity right now..

A lot of people are saying Khris Middleton is going to get max-ish money, for example..

I was thinking more like If Danny is fed up with Pop and declines a 10 million dollar per year salary..carroll might be a good sub.

I just hope the spurs don't really offer Danny 10M.That would be stupid.

he's not getting max :lol

but he deserves more that green because he's younger and has considerably more offensive upside

You should stagger changing your avs. Makes it obvious.

Is the think tank going to be operational this year?

Carroll, Shumpert, Aminu...all legit options should Danny get paid more than the Spurs are willing to offer.

Danny Green is hugely important to the Spurs. Anything short of a 5 year max offer, I suspect they will offer him the same deal. There are teams desperate to get someone with Danny's skillset, he is a perfect fit next to the ball-hog point guards that are prevalent in the league today.

Shumpert hasn't been a good defensive player since his early Knicks days and he can't shoot, tbh..

Aminu could be nice, but he's a SF/PF that can't shoot

Carroll is going to cost just as much as Green, they play in the same system and have similar abilities..

As we've seen in this series, so far, if your 3-D guy can't shoot, you're gonna have a tough time..

If Danny leaves.... then it's time to fire up the tank, tbh.

no reason to bring him here, we have plenty of young players, especially forwards that need seasoning.

i don't think carroll is getting more than 6 per year, he was almost out of the league not long ago.

Lets be really. Danny Green is getting the max. Carroll will be a steal for 7-8 mil since no one watches the Hawks.

Only way I consider Carroll for $8 Million is if the Spurs S&T Green for an asset. Simply put, if Demarre gets more than Danny's cap hold, then it doesn't give the Spurs anymore financial flexibility than simply backing up the truck for Green would.
