ESPN Forecast: Spurs will survive

As expected, the Clippers-Spurs series has been quite the first-round battle. The two Western powers are tied 2-2, with each team already winning a game on the road.
So who has the edge now?

We asked our ESPN Forecast panelists to update their predictions for this series, and our voters still see the defending champs surviving -- it just might take an extra game.

How it works: The ESPN Forecast panel predicted each team's likelihood of winning each of the potential games and each team's likelihood of winning the series. The top-line "Forecast" is based on a combination of the mean, median and mode of the predictions for each series.

(3) Clippers vs. (6) Spurs

It's reassuring to know that most pundits still think the Spurs will win this series, even when many of the so-called "Spurs fans" on this forum have already jumped off the bandwagon.

That BPI Projection is practically a toss-up tbh, basically what a lot of posters have called this series going into it...

It'll be a toss-up and come down to game 7, probably..hopefully Parker shows up in game 7 like he did vs. the Mavs last year, all the Spurs need from him..

If the Spurs play like the Spurs they will win for sure, the problem is that we never know which team we'll get.

LA will be aggressive on Duncan; if needs must put Baynes on to be physical with the LA offence.

We just need a respectable showing from a few players who have been MIA to take this game.

There have been a couple of games with great individual play (Tim and Kawhi), but we haven't seen a great team effort yet (besides the defense in game 3).

Except the huge dropoff in three point percentage is how the Spurs have played the whole season. At some point you have to say they are who they are.

ESPN hoping Spurs get knocked out imo.

it is a toss up, but no way do I believe Spurs are done. Just gotta continue grinding the Clippers down.

I think this proves to many posters here that the Spurs are one of the NBA favorites. ESPN loves them their Spurs and Lakers...and Lebron

You know, the longest this series goes, the better the Spurs will get but nobody can challenge us like the Mavs.
