Terrible, terrible coach. Seriously done with him. The officiating was debatable at times, but at the end of the day, the refs didn't set Doc's rotations for him, and that had more to do with the loss than the officiating.

I feel for you dawg. I mean Pop makes some cringe worthy decisions but how the fuck can anyone justify that trash lineup he put out there at the end of the first :lol he ended up burning his starters out by the 4th anyway

gassed..choked. when you've never done it in the playoffs...and you also did it in game 1...I lean toward choking.

But yes. Coming into the series, fatigue was gonna play a major issue which is why pop hacking is frustrating as they get to rest.

Dude almost legitimately cried when the reporter asked about the play of the opposing bench.

"MARCO ONLY PLAYED 1 MINUTE THE OTHER NIGHT, OK? BUT THEY SAID HE PLAYED!"

Leetonidas

Don't get why Griffin was so gassed though, especially since Duncan played just as much and seemed fine, not to mention the 3rd quarter was just a foul fest and standing around for the most part

He's not good enough to carry the load yet, that much is obvious everything he throws up is short at the end of the game

I'm not really referring to his missed Js. I talking about the bobbled passes, fumbled drives, missing layups. Consistently happens at the end off games.

That's ridiculous, he played like 3 minutes longer than Duncan's 39 year-old ass.

:lol I called it at the time:

We lost this game and maybe the series as soon as Cock put the bench in.

Years of Clippers failure has given me a sixth sense with this shit :bang

Duncan has an actual supporting cast to ease the burden on him. Blake doesn't, he has to do it all himself.

How could Doc play Austin Rivers in the end? He made two colossal mistakes - leaving Danny Green wide open ( and got fucking lucky ) and then not boxing him out and watching after the missed free throw.

Because Blake is 85% of the offense... I can't even think of a play where Blake doesn't touch the ball...

Leetonidas

True and valid points but Duncan is also 80 years old, I think this should offset that somewhat, plus he did see a lot of action on offense tonight. I guess I'm more amazed at the old geezer still playing fresh out there 40 minutes right after his 39th birthday :lol

Actually, Big Baby was having some success early in the fourth but Doc subbed him right away for Blake, who then was clearly gassed at the end. All this to concur with your initial point: bad coaching.

Don't get why Griffin was so gassed though, especially since Duncan played just as much and seemed fine, not to mention the 3rd quarter was just a foul fest and standing around for the most part

three reasons:
1) Fatique is a menthal thing more than anything else.
2) He's the more athletic player...more muscle equals more energy spent!
3) Tim is a finesse player that doesn't rely that much on outhussling opponents. In other words: It's less fatiquing hitting a bank shot than spininng three times and dunking it.

and one more: 4) Maybe Tim just has more endurance. It's one of those things, that don't slip that much with age (just take a look at some of the best 10k runners!).
