He gave us a solid 15 mins... made every 3 he took and 2 assists...

For some reason, I haven't seen the Clippers go at him when he's out there, and he's been quietly contributing...

Marco had been taking some heat on this forum for not being clutch but I thought he hit some big shots last year in playoffs and has done pretty well this year.

Ferrari with the goods tonight....

There was even a long 2 he knocked down that got waived off because of a dumbass Baynes illegal screen.

You gotta live with it, and appreciate his defense. Said this in the Grizz Portland thread, Tony Allen is one of the best perimeter defenders in the game, he cant shoot for shit yet is a big piece to Memphis. Danny is in more or less the same levels in defense only that when he's not in a slump he's one of the best shooters in the league.

Yeah he's been pretty damn good in this series. And I havent really cringed when he comes in, mainly because he's making good decisions on both ends of the court. His 3 to start the 4th was huuge. Big props to Marco :tu

Last year he was great during the regular season but quite bad for playoffs (still hitting a few big shots though). This year he had an up-and-down regular season, but he is much calmer and more confident so far in the first round. Seems he has found his niche in the team, and you can tell that he plants his feet well before those long shots.

Clippers are a great matchup for him with Barnes or worse at the 3. We can get away with those 3 guard lineups.

He absolutely hit some huge shots to keep it close. One three I remember tied us up at 85-85. He was calm, cool and collected and I loved that shit. This whole game I felt like the Spurs were doomed. I felt like everytime the Clippers had the ball they would score and that the Spurs were struggling but they pulled that shit out.

Marco is on this team for offensive purposes. Period. Folks who get upset with him because he is not a good defender are expecting more from him that what he was brought in to do.

Not only is he cold-blooded as a three point shooter, but he cuts as well or better than anyone else on the team, and he handles the ball well. That is his value to us and he has shone it in these playoff games.

Bingo. It's a tradeoff. In this series, he's given us good offense, and generally little trouble defensively. So you use him. Same against Portland last playoffs.
