How can anyone expect the Spurs to win this series? In these six games it has been

Parker = shit
Ginobili = shit
Splitter = shit
Green = shit
Pop = shit

Duncan, Leonard, Mills, Bellinelli, and Diaw aren't enough when no one else is doing shit

vagabundios

I started to feel uneasy after the game 5 win. Patty had his big run In the 3rd, and pop put parker in around the 10 min mark in the 4th. Was pissed, but I thought it meant mills would get back in. He never saw the floor again. Even though they barely won, I knew tonight was going to be more of the same. Hard to watch.

Fuck, I'm really not looking forward to the lottery. Those were hard times in the mid 80s.

the spurs have changed the face of the NBA. There is no way we become Sacto or some shotty mid team. If we tank we'll do it with purpose and resolve. The FO isn't dumb and they've kept the long view more than not. Maybe without 3 HOF the team feels more pressure to deliver wins but the philly experiment will show us if tanking can be a science.

The one bright spot for tomorrow is that many L.A. fans will be either in Vegas or elsewhere watching the Boxing PPV. Even though the main event doesn't start until around 8, I'm sure many people will prefer gathering at parties, homes and bars all around town for the overhyped boxing event instead of a First Rd. playoff basketball game. That means, the crowd shouldn't be that loud.

Simple solution. HIT YOUR WIDE OPEN SHOTS!!!

The Clippers got most of their points off of perimeter jumpers last night, which could be because of decent interior defense. I am just pissed at the Spurs offense. It really isn't good defense being played by the Clippers, it is more about the bad shooting by the Spurs. If the Spurs can hit the mid range jumper with consistency, they win last night easily. That shot has been horribly inconsistent this series. What irritates me most is that a lot of the shots are wide open.

Green, Kawhi, Parker, Ginobili, Mills, Diaw, Belinelli need to start making them pay. If they can hit that damn shot, it opens up the Spurs offense by punishing defenders rushing to close out to the 3, and opens up driving and interior passing lanes. Come on Spurs, get your shit together out there.

Go back and look at last night's game. Blake and CP3 find certain spots/areas on the floor and gravitate to them in the offense. Then watch what happens when they shoot it, more often than not it goes in. Right not Verde is not doing the catch and shoot in most of his three's. The first one at the start of the game was perfect but after that he was lost. FIND YOUR SPOT, KNOW YOUR ROLE, AND WIN THE GAME.

We played a horrible horrible game and were down 3 with 20 seconds to go. The Spurs have a legit chance of winning game 7, i donīt think a better scenario on the road to go to a game seven when no Spurs other than Leonard (40) logged more than 31 minutes, and the Clippers have logged over 40 minutes for the third consecutive game and five out of six games.
Chris Paul (44), Griffin (41) and Reddick (38) have to feel it at some point.
Duncan and Ginobili have to carry this team and hope that the more inexperienced players (Kawhi and Green) wake up.
It could also help if Tiago replaces Vagina but i am not hopeful on that.

I don't think homecourt matters much in a Spurs-Rockets series considering it's about a 45 minute flight between the cities.

05-01-2015, 12:43 PM
Only the Spurs can beat themselves. Clippers will either 1) come out slow and give up early or 2) come out fast and then fade. They don't have a killer instinct IMO.
But the Spurs can't keep missing shots and critical free throws and throwing the ball away. They don't need a spectacular game to win. Just a consistent game with players playing at their late season averages.

True, but a physical 7 game series that featured an OT game and might have another OT will be physically taxing to an already battered and old Spurs team with only one full day of rest going up against a well-rested team. That matters.
