Amazing they made it this long. But age has finally ended their championship hopes. End of an Era.

Watched a lot of great teams/players like Sampras, Schumacher, Jordan, Federrer, Rossi & Tiger go down. The Spurs & the Patriots are next tbh.

Probably so. Couldn't write a better sports story than the last two seasons though. Improbable finals run that ended in crushing heartbreak followed by a redemptive run the next season. If they lose Saturday...oh well. Last night has me ready for football anyway.

I certainly hope so, Thou. If so watch all the good time charlies turn their backs on the Spurs. The truth will then be published. Fuckin' rats will come out of the woodwork.

We'll see what this summer looks like. I do think we need the rest. I also think Tim can play another season, easily.

They haven't lost yet.
And people said the same thing when they lost in 2010 in a 1-8 matchup. They'll be done when they're done and with as good of an organization as they've built, they'll be back.

This. They've been done since 2008. Regardless of how this year ends, I do think Tim will come back for another season. And RC/Pop will keep trying to field competitive teams as long as he is playing.
Manu is finished though. Tony is too, but we can't do anything about that. Maybe if he gets some rest this summer...

I'm also thoroughly convinced Tim Duncan is a robot in every conceivable way. He's as good now as he was 5, 10 and 16 years ago. SkyNet sent him back in time to dominate the NBA and put the City of San Antonio on the NBA and overall map. And to kill John Connor I guess.

..if it weren't for Amy you'd be hunting your third in-a-row.
But, you guys weren't donned for that. Sure, you lost the Title because of her but you weren't dragged thru the shit for it. That's why you were able to get up and continue on. There was no residual effect, at all.
You were very fortunate there.
Tim can play another season, but without a decent starting PG there's no reason to other than collecting a check. Duncan himself said he's a role player now.
