Will you still watch every game? Will you care as much if we're not in the playoffs every year? What's life going to be like???
I'm going to try to do something productive with my life tbh. maybe I'll join the Peace Corps. I dunno yet

After they all go....I will still be :flag:
Like another poster said, having title aspirations year in and year out is exhausting as a diehard fan. At this point, I'm not that against tempered expectations and going through the process of trying to climb back to the top of the mountain. We already have 5 so the slip ups won't be as painful as it is for other teams tbh.

I will miss the rivalry once the big 3 and pop are gone.... I usually miss beating you guys on repeating back to back 04 and 08 were real stingers for us but they must be real stingers for you guys.... hahaha 03 and 13 didn't bother me as much

I will tell scientists to hurry the fuck up with this supposed new anti-aging miracle cure they've been working on recently and get the Big 3 to be the first guinea pigs to try it.

03 didn't hurt?
I've been looking forward to new blood for the past 3 seasons. Watching players like Kawhi come in and develop is pretty fun for me as a fan, personally. It's refreshing. I'm looking forward to the next chapter, even if that involves a lot of missed playoffs or first round exits.

You're not old enough to remember when the team was bad, other than maybe that year when David Robinson was injured in 96-97. Shit wasn't fun in the Alfrederick Hughes days. If Duncan retires best case scenario is being able to bump Dallas off for the 8th seed next year.

Bitch, moan and grown when RC doesn't make the moves and picks I think he should make, of course
As to the real question of the thread... "Going anywhere?"
Nope! Staying right here.
Remember guys, rebuilding can be fun too.
This 2015 NBA Draft is important as hell. It's going to set the tone for what we do going forward into the Big 3-less future.
I said GODDAMN I wish were able to get Gobert.

Be right here. One door might be closing but another is opening. Looking forward to the next chapter.
I'm betting the Austin Spurs/Toros wtf ever... those guys are chomping at the bit for these old fuckers to retire already so they can get called up. You know RC and Peter are going to go with the cheapest options available through the shit years.

Yep, Kobe has a lot of deteriorating to do. Need to be here for that.
This team is set up to rebuild wuickily. Maybe not as a candidate to win it all, but to at least be competitive.

OMFG, would Utah take Kawhi for Gobert?
That dude is gonna be more of a deterrent in the lane than Deandre Jordan.
Would you guys do it?

You don't trade Kawhi unless you get Anthony Davis back, that's it.
I still say the league is different from the old days. We can't go cheap like the REd Mcolmb days. They can tank, but it'll be a targeted tank. There is too much institutional talent to just play thugs and dipshits.
Too much $ in the nba for cheapskates. Sterling is a dead man. The SActo guys are faggots but they'll figure it out. Everyone else is looking at Atlanta and Philly to see if they got sustained success. If the era of the mega star is over, then it's all about the mega FO. That's the spurs baby. Mega Bright times even without Mr HOF GOAT

Absolutely. The only reason i wouldn't is because he's only been good for a half season and hasn't been playoff tested. But if Gobert is legit he is true franchise, whereas Kawhi is only possibly a franchise guy.
It's not true yet, but Gobert>Davis is not outside the realm of possibility.

do the same shit I did during the Robinson era. Bitch about someone not coming through in the clutch, having no good players, and expressing disdain with coaching and front office.

Yeah, I've lived a spoiled existence as a fan. I was 9-10 in '99 and that run is what made me go all in and never left since. I wouldn't mind going through the whole process though instead of just jumping in when they're at the top. '99 must've been euphoric for those of you old enough to have suffered through all the shitty years.

Yeah, what made 99 so crazy was the loss in 95 when the Spurs were heavily favored and had owned the Rockets in the regular season. Sean Elliott's three against Portland in Game 2 was literally the first shot like that which had ever gone in the Spurs favor in the playoffs, thinking back to Mike Mitchell's missed jumpshot and Artis Gilmore's inability to hit a point blank layup off the rebound (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDmiNtOOEIk&t=2m30s) at the buzzer down one in Game 6 of the 83 WCF vs LA, to Willie Anderson's inability to get a shot off at the buzzer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at1NCGxJl5o&t=21m20s) and then Rod Strickland's no look pass in OT in Game 7 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at1NCGxJl5o&t=26m30s) of the 1990 WCSF in Portland, to Nick Van Exel's three (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbodE_WgpFA) in the second round in 1995, to Robert Horry's elbow jumper (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bt86Gmzae50) to steal Game 1 of the 95 WCF, and so on. As a Spurs fan 1995 hurt a lot more than 6.
It's amazing how many of these kind of plays have gone the Spurs way since, but they used to never do it.

Of course I am still going to watch every game. The Spurs have made the playoffs the last 25 out of 26 years. We had championship aspirations before the Big 3 in '79, '89 and '95 (fcuking Ferry turning off them lights; Strickland with that damn no look pass; and Olajuwon with the greatest playoff performance I have ever seen). I don't think this organizations title runs will end with the loss of the Big 3 as we have a great model that other franchises try to emulate.

I've supported and stayed with 'em every year since they started, including maintaining some expensive lower level season tickets during the years when we weren't playing well.
You have to keep the interest and encourage the team and owners by your support. A big part of this is giving the players love, even when things don't go well.
That's what a fan does as his part of a mutual obligation to keep the team playing in San Antonio.

Good point I would give about anything to win tonight but I don't know if I can handle another series like this especially against those flopping pussies in Houston.
