That's a contender in a heartbeat. Duncan would say "wish I had Conley the last few years, wild have won 3 in a row"

It would be Aldridges team of course. Kawhi and green patroling the wings. Coonley running tangs and Duncan of course anchoring the D.

Lets bake this cake

With Duncans and Pops tutelage, Aldridge can easily become 2nd best Spur ever

Parker's 45 mil is one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Absolutely untradeable.

Would fucking love Conley but how the hell would we get him us being stuck with a 40+ mil lame duck pg for 3 more years?!

I dont know if TP's contract the worst current contract in the nba , but its definitely at the top with Kobe.

Now that Deron's $43.5mm / 2 year deal (one less year) is down to 1 year, probably right among PGs. But make it through this offseason and $29 over 2 years isn't the worst given the rising cap. Probably worth half of that, which is what it would cost to stretch him.

Where it is painful is lack of flexibility this year. Bringing in a max guy likely costs the Spurs Splitter.

What we need to do is sell Utah on the idea of having two very good young wings and try to get Gobert for Kawhi.

Rudy Gobert is already a good player and his potential is monstrous.

Anyone know if Utah's GM is a dummy?

It's potential that is already panning out.

Kawhi will get better, but you can't teach what Gobert is. He's a Deandre Jordan but he'll be better offensively.

You had to notice how Deandre Jordan affected our team and the series. Gobert will have that and probably more. I don't think it's much of a question.

We're going to miss the playoffs and draft new wings, obviously. Lol

That's another reason to do it. I don't want to be middling. We need to actually die, so we can come back.

It's not that easy to find Kawhi like players in the draft. The chances of the Spurs landing another Finals MVP/DPOY are slim to none.

We can find wing defenders.

It's easier to find wings who can play than it is to find big men that can actually play. We would find another player at Kawhi's current level before we found a player at Gobert's current level.

But it's not like Utah would give him up anyway.

Why in the hell would you want to retain splitter manu and porker???

A deep bench is not needed in the nba anymore. Clippers are winning with fat baby and cousin rivers :lmao

Trade splitter and parker to memphis for conley. Sign aldridge.

One does not simply "trade Enrique." Other teams have to actually want The Blob... good luck with that :lol

I mean the whole "depth doesn't matter in today's NBA" spiel. OKC out-depthed the Spurs and GS/CLE are the deepest teams in the NBA.

Sure in the first rounds of the playoffs depth matter. But IMo in the conference finals most teams nowadays will shrink to a 8 man rotation.cleveland will, okc will and sure GS might not. But they are a huge exception. They are a 73 win team.

I can see the dumbasses doing nothing but bringing back Duncan if he chooses to stay, Manu is gone.. Pop said they need a bench so he will chase after vets who will play for nothing.. they won't even play during the playoffs so why does it matter. It'll be an 8-9 rotation and a 1st or 2nd round bounce.

Unless they're willing to shake it all up status quo won't cut it.
