We lost. Season over. Stop fussing over what-ifs and conspiracies.

You're talking to a fanbase that still hasn't "let go" of things that happened 10+ years ago.

Yeah. Exactly. Didn't want the refs to influence the game? Should have had the balls to finish them off Game 6 at home. Easy as that. Spurs were done and it's now time to get ready for a long time at the bottom of the league. Stop living in the past.

This was .4, Finals game 6 overtime, 1 seed losing to 8 seed Griz, Manu's 06 Dirk foul, loss to the Pelicans, sweep by the Suns, Ref debauchery of '12 against the Thunder, sweep by the Lakers of '01, Kevin Johnson going ape in '00, Pau trade for peanuts combined. I WILL NOT LET GO.

I will never let it go, it was real I wont sleep ever, Im like Michael Clarke Duncan on The Island, so the only way I can stop is... by getting tasered, if that happens I will get back to my normal self and even quieter and peaceful.

This is nowhere near '12 or 8 seed grizz. 0.4 and 6? You're reaching.

Everything after 5 is gravy. You can't win it all.

After all of those titles they have this is the sad truth here. I think some should enjoy more of the memories being they won't happen again soon and it has been a hell of a run VERY few teams have had, none as far as longevity.

Putting this down as an injury loss. We win in 5 with healthy TP and Splitter.

We had our fair share of injury written off seasons

Spurs fan since '94...and someone sent me condolences yesterday!

WTF? I wouldn't trade beeing a Spurs fan for anything! ANYTHING!

It feels weird right now, as we might see the end of the Duncan era but I have to say: "Even if we don't make the playoffs ever again and we handle business like die Knicks for the next 100 years...even then, I'm still one of the happiest sports fans ever and will always love my Spurs!"

I second OP's statement.

And this doesn't even compare to .4, the foul, or 6...... :lol can't believe some people are putting it in the same breath.

Considering the last time Spurs fans felt a season end early, they were getting their hearts ripped out by 6 and Game 7...

This loss seems like piece of cake, tbh.

I wasn't even upset about it. I didn't think we would go far before the playoffs. Even if we barely squeaked by we wouldn't have won 3 more series.

It was the god damn classiest loss ever.

Spurs aren't selfish. We don't rely on a guy like harden making bad iso v bailout after bailout.

We don't rob lesser teams of their stars for evil super teams

We didn't hurt major nba sponsorships like and kia, state farm,

We let balmer get some ROI.

We taught kawhi that championships aren't easy.

Everything about this season was prefect expect for the spurstalk trolls who tried too hard (it wasn't all bad) and the not winning. But everything else was great. Rings, a woman coach, Parker getting a legacy contract, stats benchmarks being attained, heartbreaking endings all season long.

If the team lost on a missed 3 or layup then yes.

But that phantom foul on Paul and the McCutcheon gift all in the last minutes made it extra hard to let go.

True. If we just lost outright, no biggie. But that foul call on Duncan was bullshit. He didn't touch Paul. That's not a call you make to decide a game. That's not a call you make under a minute in a tied playoff game. It was shit. It wasn't a foul. It's not right. The McCutchen Coocoo Clock was bullshit too. Why does there always have to be ref controversy when the Spurs lose? It's almost better to get your ass kicked because then you know you just didn't have it that game...Not lose by 2 in a controversial manner.
