Anyone know how it did in the ratings? It was a big sports day, so I'm curious how many people were actually watching basketball.

Well they were probably affected by the big fight. I didn't watch it (the fight) but it was so big, the movie studios are saying that the Avengers box office weekend, #2 all time might have been #1 if not for the fight Saturday night, so if it can depress Avengers moviegoers numbers which isn't exactly an overlapping demographic, I am sure it will also depress the numbers for the Spurs game on a Saturday night (death to ratings).

I don't know. Did it really conflict? I had a bunch of friends that were going to watch the fight and many of them ending up watching most if not all of the Spurs game before the fight.

It didn't in that the fight didn't start until the game was over but there was no way of knowing that beforehand. They don't set start times for fights they wait until the buy rate slows down. So if you valued the fight for 100 bucks who wouldn't or if you were going to see the fight somewhere (bar or restaurant) you have to commit to it early to get a seat or whatever which keeps you away from the Spur game if they aren't your priority.

I don't know how they come up with the ratings. But the people I knew that got the fight were flipping around and ended up watching the Spurs game until the fight. If they hadn't paid for the fight, they probably would not have been around a TV on Saturday flipping around the channels. These are non-Spurs fans btw.
