This is not the way you come and protect your title, it take away a lot from what you did a year ago... Too bad Pop didn't understand that!!!

1980's Lakers, Celtics and Pistons
I dont count the 1990s Bulls (those Titles were fixed by Sterno and Jordan gambling)
1990's Jazz
2000's Lakers and Pistions (4 consect east confrence finals)
2010's Heat and Spurs

Please kill yourself already. You are most emo Spurfan I have ever seen. It's a fucking game dude and you don't even know the Spurs or have any affiliation with them, why does this bother you more than them tbh? :lol

Mostly because of Timmy, I'm his biggest fan in the world, he's the reason i become a Spurs fan somewhere in the 99 season when i was 12yo, big supernatural force got me connected to him on so many levels, fall in love with his game the first time i saw him play, i felt unbelivible grace and quality, and at that time i barley watch or know basketball, was only interested in football... I can't explain why it's so much important to me, seeing him and spurs succeed and win it all gives me pride and joy that make me happiest person in the world, it kill me when they not, of cours when spurs losing in hearbreaking way, being so close and than let it slipp away or wasting great oportonity for a title for no reason, than it really do demege to my soul, right now i can't hold myself, can't enjoy nothing in life, i don't find meaning to living...

Watching the fucking 2014 championship DVD you wiener, quit being such a depressive weirdo over a fucking game :lol we're all disappointed but you're suicidal dude, shit is nowhere near normal. Tim Duncan is widely regarded by non-Kobetards as a top 5 player of all-time and a 6th ring wasn't going to put him over Jordan anyway and the repeat thing is irrelevant anyway really so not sure why you're crying so much. Dude probably wouldn't even piss on you if you were on fire so why do you care so much about an NBA players accomplishments :lol

your life must really, really be sad and empty tbh

Not from anyone that knows basketball, there are some that never cared for the Spurs in the first place so, they have been waiting for a chance to dog or forget about them after a year of being forced to acknowledge them as the champs. I will miss seeing the big three holding their rings every time NBA gametime comes on. It feels as good as watching Lebron and the Heat celebrate a title we all felt was ours the entire year before felt bad. TBH last year's title validated the fact that the Spurs were in fact the best team in the NBA the last two years. This years PO run does not eliminate that but it does signify that for this year at least there is a new sheriff in town.

Too bad you weren't coach....you could arrange a hang man's noose around your neck and threaten to kick out the chair if we don't win in the last second of a Game 7. :wow

^^^ OP is an EMO dickhead, he needs to stfu and live real life already. Spurs 014 title is their 014 title, nothing takes away from that from here on out. Who's respect did they lose actually? Some trolls on a message board and Spurs haters?

Spurs didn't really have the NBA's respect until #5. That changed everything and immortalized Tim and Pop.

Absolutely DOMINATING performance. Let's face it, the Spurs killed a franchise with that title.

There have been winners that weren't respected. Spurs are respected for "how" as much as "what" they've done.

The Spurs were impressive for sure last year, but "franchise-killing" is a bit much. Getting ass-blasted in the first round by a mediocre Bulls team as defending champs in 2007 didn't kill the Heat franchise, the 2011 Finals loss didn't kill the Heat franchise, so I'm sure they'll find a way to bounce back from last year eventually.

The Heat imploded after that ass whuppin'. They all knew they could never recover from it.

To be honest I never really think of a championship after the fact. After the summer.
What I mean there is, yeah there's the season opener and rings ceremony, but all that shit people say about the last year's team still being the NBA champions and "defending their title" this year...yeah, it's technically true, but it's not something I usually actively think about.
For me it's more "get another one" than "defend the title!!!". We didn't get another one this year, which hurt, but we've got ours. Here's to our next shot at it.

Bill Simmons thinks the '86 celtics team is the greatest of all time in his book of basketball. Biggest celtics homer of alltime.
