Why does his coaching tree suck so bad? Was he just a beneficiary of having four top-20 all-time players to play for him?

He's only considered the GOAT by casual NBA fans tbh. Most NBA analysts leave it up for discussion. Great coaching = doing more with less. He's still all-time with 11 rings, but not the GOAT imo. Always had the best player(s). He was a great ego-manager though.

Kinda makes me think if he would have been as successful if he just coached the early 2000s Kings or the late 90s Bulls, tbh. I think he would have been exposed in today's NBA rules. He decided to quit overall in 2011 because he knows the Triangle Offense will be useless.

Spurs fans definition of GOAT: Basically anything that makes Pop and Duncan #1. Of course if the show was on the other foot, you guys would be proclaiming Kirby is GOAT for repeating

Kobe made Lebron his bitch too in 2009, so what? MJ was a kid, Lebron was a kid, MJ owned them all at the end. You still don't get what bball is about...its about these guys competing for greatness so kids buy their shoes when they're long gone.
