Players brought back;

SG Danny Green- he's a good player that knows the system. 4-5 million
SG Marco Belinelli- is a dangerous shooter has experience in system. 2 million
C Aron Baynes- he's a good 3rd center and has shown development in system. 1 million

Brought from Europe;
Deshaun Thomas- has really improved and would be a great compliment behind Kawhi.

Free Agents;
Lamarcus Aldridge- pull out all stops for him. He is a Texas native and Timmy fan. He would play great next to Timmy as he stretches the floor. 13-15 million

Trades;

Splitter to Boston- they need a center and some championship vets on that team. Could fit nice in the east. We get their 2nd first rounder which will be around 25-28. We also get their first 2nd rounder which will be around 38-42.

Tony Parker to New York- Phil can pair tony with Carmelo. Gives them a championship PG. And puts tony in the light he has always wanted, New York. We get Tim Hardaway JR. Here is our Manu replacement. Gets plenty of minutes and gets away from Carmelo, they hate each other. Hardaway can shoot, dribble, and defend. Good size, length, and athleticism.

Draft;

1. Jerian Grant PG 6'5"- very good player with great athleticism. Can shoot, handle the ball, and distribute well. Is a very good defender too. His length will really bother opponents PG.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jerian-Grant-18095/

1. Christian Wood PF 6'11"- a highly talented kid that gets lucky and can learn behind Timmy, Lamarcus, and Diaw. Has great offensive skill. Can shoot, dribble, run the floor well. Can be a future big 3 with Kawhi.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Christian-Wood-7182/

2. Robert Upshaw C 7'- insane rim protector with great length and athleticism. Has of the court issues, but this might be a great place for him to learn.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Robert-Upshaw-6447/

2. Andrew Harrison PG 6'5"- has really fallen in mock drafts. Brings championship mentality. Good athleticism and shooter. Can develop with Jerian.
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Andrew-Harrison-6456/

Roster:

PG- Grant, Mills, Harrison
SG- Green, Hardaway, Belinelli
SF- Leonard, Thomas, Anderson
PF- Aldridge, Diaw, Wood
C- Duncan, Upshaw, Baynes

Your numbers are probably about 50% for the three guys Green, Baynes and Beli. I would probably agree with trading Splitter and Tony but much of these stuffs are all but a dream and not going to happen.

-Tim comes back.
-Manu comes back (reduced 15/20 minutes role with less ball-handling responsibilities).
-Resign Danny, Belli and Baynes.
-Sign Aldridge.
-Hope Parker can regain his form.
-Develop Kyle Anderson and/or sign/draft a young athletic wing.
-Sign/draft a stretch 4.
-See what you can get from Tiago if nothing good comes up keep him as a backup center.

- Danny will likely fetch twice as much, and if the Spurs want to keep him, they're going to have to pay up.
- Marco made $2.9m this season. He's not coming back at a discount.
- Baynes QO is $2.6m, that's the least the Spurs have to pay to keep him.

Tony Parker to New York

Tony Parker is not going anywhere.

This would be my dream scenario as well. But we may got to be fair to CoJo and I don't care that much about Beli...some other wing might do the trick. LA obviously is a long shot.

sorry, i had to stop right here.

these numbers are so far out of the realm of reality.

danny and marco would be getting more than that even if there cap wasn't ballooning up.

i'd strongly suggest checking out the sham sports NBA salary page and the larry coon CBA FAQ. lots of good information there that can help bring your numbers into a more realistic range.

We need a 2 guard that can break down defenses and get to the rim like Manu used to do. DG is a terrific player and can play good defense but driving to the basket and creating off the dribble is not in his game.

Man we need a rule on spurstalk that you can't lowball a fa in your dream scenario. Minimum of 150% in increase in salary for all under ,30 year old players.

Also, proof all trades will pass under cba (use espn trade checker)

I've become a little more faithful to the idea that Parker could be traded. It's still 90% unlikely. But with the spurs making so much new additions maybe Parker sees the writing on the wall and plays in the weaker conf.

In other threads I've seen people mention Monta's attitude. They mention JR Smith as an example. There is a huge difference between a sixth man role and a starter. A sixth man is bench leader. They can be alpha. Put putting. A ball dominant 2guard in the starting line-up without changing the offense would be a disaster.

So, if a player says they're ok playing from the bench they're probably ok. Monta is going to want to be an alpha. I doubt he'd sign here even if we matched the market money.
