Why not plan ahead, better than waiting to see. It's not like they can throw a raft on shit Creek like San Antonio

this is just dumb ...so what? I remember when Cowboys printed playoff ticket vouchers for season ticket holders so they could ensure a smooth process and people poked fun. WGAF. If this makes a parade planning smoother do what you need to do ...

A parade is great fun and if a city needs to plan a month ahead why make a stink about it?

If anyone knows how to plan a parade, it's the Bay Area...

You know these metrosexuals want to be meticulous down to the last pirouette. They're used to having at least a year to plan a parade, cut em some slack.

This is nothing new, cities plan parades all the time because they're logistical nightmares and business owners and residents have to be warned ahead of time due issues like traffic.

Dallas did the same in 2006.

Franchises and local councils should be doing this anyway. They should be coordinating these things just in case.

It's not so much as jinxing the team, it's just proper contingency planning.

"They should be coordinating these things just in case."

Isn't that what they're doing? It's not like printing up a bunch of hats and T-shirts that literally half the time have to go to some Third World country because the other team won.

Meh, the only reason you don't hear about San Antonio's doing it is because they use pretty much the same route every time.

This stuff is misrepresented far too often. It's not about thinking they are going to win. It's about contingency. Cities also plan for dirty bomb attacks, do we think there will be one soon? You cannot just shut down everything on short notice for a parade, plus you'd have to build constantine wire fences around LBC area.
