Frenchie's retarded fastbreak attempt. If we drain the clock and wait for a better shot, we're looking at a 5 or 6 point lead. Parker, being the low IQ player he is, rushes it and it results in a Clippers three that ties the game.

Not to rag on the guy cause I love him, but one of Kawhi's many missed layups in game 7. Multiple opportunities to go up by two possessions and the ball would just not cooperate with him.

That gets overlooked. DG got the ball to TP who promptly lost it.

Right, since we lost by one shot at the end, that prayer heave that CP3 put up at the end of the quarter was a unbelievable lucky three points they shouldn't have had so we would have won---all other things staying the same.

However, he made it and the Spurs lost. I'm not much on picking individual plays out of an entire game and saying, "AHA! Eureka!" To place so much weight on one play--even a missed FT with no time left--essentially means that the entire game meant nothing at all.

All plays are important and interrelated to one another but it's fun for fans to argue about this play or that, the time out that was called--or wasn't, etc. In the end, all you can really say is we won or we lost.

The first hack-a in game 6

Agreed.

I thought it would be a push this year for the Spurs to win again, but it doesn't look like there's a dominating team in these playoffs.
Given the less than intimidating playoff field, perhaps the Spurs were one goofy coaching gimmick away from having a legitimate shot at 6, which is such a goddamn shame.

Nah the way the team was playing this year they'd have just pulled some stupid shit in some other round and lost.

It was death by a thousand cuts.

Any one of them could have prevented it.

Starting with that ridiculous Portland OT game.

I thought of this one, too. Considering Kawhi didn't step up as the team's best player, it's a valid criticism, tbh.

I thought of this one, too. Considering Kawhi didn't step up as the team's best player, it's a valid criticism, tbh.I figured in the 2013 it was just a young player having cold feet, but I don't know anymore. After that, regular season close games shouldn't be so rattling.

Nope, losing to the Knicks or the Cavs...Peli's were hot and wanted to make the playoffs. Not like they were a scrub team.

They bring that intensity to Game 6 at home and we'd still be playing. I don't think they they had the mentality to keep playing.

Throw in Detroit....yeah the Pelican's were uber motivated and fighting for their lives. We shouldn't have been in that position, but that loss must have had a heavy impact on them. To drop from 2 to 6 overnight.....is kind of a cruel blow.

Every thing old is new again:

McHale told TNT's Tracy Wolfson that he decided to start hacking early to "change things up" and try to take the Clips out of their game.

It worked for a little while, as the Rockets led through the early stages of the second quarter. But as the free-throw attempts piled up, McHale's gambit seemed to backfire, as the Rockets lost both their early shotmaking rhythm and any semblance of belief that they could stop the Clippers' offense without hugging Jordan immediately after an L.A. inbound. And in the third quarter, Doc Rivers' crew proved the shaken Rockets right. --- more ---> (http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/clippers-blitz-rockets-in-hack-fueled-horror-show-to-win-game-4--take-3-1-lead-051008492.html)
