He's apparently the worst player in the history of the NBA playoffs.

Any way we can trade Enrique for him?

It's tough watching these playoffs, where every team's backup PG is better than the Spurs' starting PG that gets paid 13 mil per year, tbh:lol..

Sorry, man, tough to top those Parker playoff numbers:lol..he's a 32-year old, speed-reliant PG with a ton of mileage, though, I'm sure he'll come back better than ever next year, logically..

A guard that can dribble. What a novel idea. I wish the Spurs had a SG one that could put the ball on the floor. After all that skill is developed in middle school.

Rivers is not a scrub
Dude is better then mills and check
Mills better 3 point shooter

I wish our highest paid player wasn't a cancer on the court. $45 million and he gives you worse production than Smush Parker.

Mills was levels better than Rivers in the series:lol..

Rivers is extremely bad, having 2 good playoff games doesn't change that..

Don't know about Mills but he's definitely better than that French choke artist wearing number 9.

Solid, original take. In an Austin Rivers thread, too.

Parker fans are more comparable to Kobe fans actually.

-Both groups idolize chuckers that were MJ fanboys growing up.
-Using ring count and absolute numbers to justify a player's greatness because the actual stats come short. Impact stats are also frowned upon
-Always trying to use past accomplishments to justify the overpaid contracts both players received
-Both fanbases scapegoat the poor performances with phantom injuries, ailments and other excuses.
-Both groups want to stop any and all criticism of their favorite player. Lakersground bans users for anti-Kobe discussions. Spurstalk is less extreme but just as pathetic(posting long cats to derail threads for example)
-Both groups constantly deflect blame onto the superior teammates. Kobe fans would actively blame Pau for losses. Parker fans would deflect criticism onto Manu in the past. Now they blame Kawhi.

For the record:

Austin Rivers is a relatively shitty player with terrible mechanics and fundamentals
2014/2015 model Tony Parker is also a relatively shitty player

Yet, neither is "the worst player in the history of the playoffs." Some people are just trying too hard.

These are things we know.

Did he say anything wrong?

I just don't understand why you're so pissed at anyone caring about the future of the spurs.

He's a PG that's paid 45 millions. Detrimental to the development of Kawhi, playing terrible basketball and old..

Not sure why that shouldn't be concern going forward.

Not sure if this thread is even serious. Austin Rivers has a hard time even bringing the ball up the court every play without it nearly being stolen LOL.

Have Parker and Rivers switch places, Spurs beat the Clips in six games. Maybe less.

This place should be a shame, it has a lot of arrogance going here, a lot of you were laughing on clippers for no reason, laughing on Austin, on Doc, even on their big three, it was the hybris sin and it get us out of the playoff...

He came up big for them tonight but it doesn't take away from the fact he's still a low IQ basketball player. He still makes stupid mistakes in crucial situations. He can win you a game in a series but he can also cause you to lose a game so it evens out.

There's no REAL pressure on him to perform. It's all on his Dad. He can't get cut. He won't get packaged in any trade. He probably has no fear of getting his minutes cut. All he has to do is play.

I don't think anyone seriously believes he's some great player now or anything, tbh. As much as everyone shits on him, though, he did step up and win a playoff game, so he deserves some props for that.

I bet when they watch tape he will count his blessing those shots went down. He was not exactly interested in distributing the ball. It was pretty amazing and gave CP3 more rest to be sure.

Austin Rivers is a scrub that is having a hot streak at the right time. If ST posters are sucking him off like he's the next star PG or something, they need to take a look at his regular season contribution. If Clippers had Rivers as a staring PG for the whole season, I doubt Clips would even make playoffs. Also, it was cp3's shot that beat the Spurs; not Austin Rivers. So stop crying.
