The guy isn't the same player he was once but then again, neither is Manu and he's younger than him. If Manu retires, would he be a worthy replacement?
EDIT: Never mind...I just looked at his contract...WOW. I didn't know he was that much overpaid.

NO, probably the most overpaid player next to Kirby.

Why the hell not? He helped me win a fantasy title this year.

At a reasonable price Joe Johnson would be interesting

Not even then. He'll be 34 before next season. Spurs haven't signed a FA rotation player over 30 since McDyess in 2009.

$45 million for Tony Parker is worse than both imo

He only has one year left on his contract though. Parker is now a Smush Parker level point guard. He can't shoot, can't pass, can't defend. Is owed $45 mil for the next three years. That's pretty fucking bad.

Been a fan of Johnson for a while now. Went to a Nets game a few years ago and saw him hit a buzzer-beater in double OT to win the game. Would love him off the bench to replace Manu. Contract was one year too long, though.

He could be a solid addition for any team, given a reasonable salary for his age and production. If the Nets waive him and pay him out, then he should definitely be considered for a rotation for a title contending team.
