Parker goes for 41 pts, 12 ast, 5 reb on 65% shooting (+25 overall) versus Nash's 7 points.

Now I understand how going for 20 pts, 5 ast, & 5 reb on 48% in a G7 can get you so much hate.

I remember that game, was a pretty amazing performance really.

Nothing wrong with remembering our great players peaks - someone posted a Manu video of Game 5 in 2005 against Seattle. Such a beast.

Yeah, Parker's definitely a franchise legend, even though he should be salary dumped this summer. Spurs can't afford to have a Kobe kind of contract.

Now let's fast forward to game 4: Rique shoots a pathetic 41% from the floor (44% TS) but takes almost as many shots as Duncan, Spurs lose by 19. Then he shoots 42% from the floor in Game 5 but gets bailed out with a disgusting Harden-esque 16 foodstamps. Despite all that rigging, the Spurs only barely eke out the win on their home floor. Thanks for reminding everyone of how much of a cancer Enrique can be when the stakes are highest, OP. :tu

Enrique can be as dominant as Michael Jordan, at least for his fans :downspin:

I remember that game too, Tony was splashing midrange jumpers like it was nothing. Say what you want about him, but Tony is really fun to watch when he has it going. You guys should stop hating on him for a second and think about how fun it is to watch some of these guys, that's what I started doing this year and I genuinely love watching all the great players.

Take Westbrook for example, hate on him for stat padding or low efficiency all you want, but the dude goes 110% every second he's on the floor, makes plays that few players his size have ever been able to make, and is one of the most alpha players I've ever seen. Tony had a rough year, but he's one of the best finishers in the paint of all time and he's a scrawny french point guard. pretty amazing if you think about it, glad he's on our side. Let's just pray that he heals up over the summer, because we're a really great team if Tony has the ability to knife into the paint at will.

It's almost like he was coming off a Finals MVP or something.

Lol, you're really going to hate on him for his 31/8/3 performance in Game 5 when Nash went for 11? Parker got "bailed out" again by leading his team in scoring and assists? Wow, even in arguably one of his greatest series where he thoroughly and embarrassingly outplayed everyone on the floor, you don't give Parker any credit. What in the world did this guy ever do to you bro?

So when the Spurs play, who actually plays the games you watch? Are there no "players"?

The player-fan "insult" is like sharting while you yell at someone. The joke is on you.

Look, TP is a Spurs legend & been a phenomenal player for SA. There's nothing wrong being concerned about his play & contract. There are a ton of questions regarding his future & ability to bounce back. No one knows if it's a true nasty decline or if he will bounce back. There are legit concerns.

Parker fans are more comparable to Kobe fans actually.

-Both groups idolize chuckers that were MJ fanboys growing up.
-Using ring count and absolute numbers to justify a player's greatness because the actual stats come short. Impact stats are also frowned upon
-Always trying to use past accomplishments to justify the overpaid contracts both players received
-Both fanbases scapegoat the poor performances with phantom injuries, ailments and other excuses.
-Both groups want to stop any and all criticism of their favorite player. Lakersground bans users for anti-Kobe discussions. Spurstalk is less extreme but just as pathetic(posting long cats to derail threads for example)
-Both groups constantly deflect blame onto the superior teammates. Kobe fans would actively blame Pau for losses. Parker fans would deflect criticism onto Manu in the past. Now they blame Kawhi.

You obviously have zero idea what a "Player Fan" is
