View Full Version : How do you play cardio extensive sports like Soccer or basketball when you're rusty?

Specially when there is very limited subs or no subs at all?

I missed last years soccer season tournament and haven't really done any extensive cardio ever since.gained a good 10 lbs of fat just seating around, eating donuts...Today was our first game..Playing with the same niggas two years ago. It was embarrassing tbh. worst, I played my natural wing position. :lol...45 minutes a half.

We lost 5-2, god damn...We only had 1 guy on our bench.

Advanced level..Couldn't keep up with some of the High school kids on the wing, and although I was probably faster on the run...I couldn't move after the third or fourth dash.:lol

Couldn't contribute defensively. And because I was a really good player two years ago, the ball went to me a lot on the wing and dem 18-19 year olds would just freaking out run me all the time. It was ok in the first half, but the 2nd half it was embarrassing. didn't have anything left.

I guess when you gain a few lbs by eating tons of donuts, poor conditioning, Have a good reputation as a very good player ( even though it was to years ago)..you're going to have a terrible game...

So spursfans, have you had games when deep inside your heart...you know you're just being detrimental to the team? I was crying for sub, but the one sub we had got subed earlier and the dude that went out was way too tired to be subed in.

i started reffing basketball and soccer this year. my brilliant idea to get more involved in the games i love. it has shown me that my my body is worn out and crappy. i spent too many years binge drinking and butt sitting. one of my knees is garbage, i think i have un-diagnosed damage. everybody loves refs. what they especially love is a limping panicky one.
