I used to frequent another Spurs forum but moved to this one a few years ago because there were more engaging discussions. The past year or so, this forum has gone downhill dramatically after the loss of moderators. Every other thread created is bashing a Spurs player and it really does not make for an interesting site to go to anymore. I don't post that much but I appreciated people who did and did it well. And when I thought I could bring something to the table, I did.

How about everyone move to the "Other" Spurs forum with moderators and bring renewed life to that forum. The bad posters who have trashed this site will be filtered out.

Either that or bring back the moderators on this site to clean this place up again.

This place used to be more CNN seemingly objective down the middle, TimVP's post game threads, sizing up competition and talking about the old days. Now there is more of a Fox news vs MSNBC mentality. There are rival camps making endless threads hashing and rehashing the same points ad infinitum, trying to rally supporters and denigrate the opposing side. I admit like some trashy tv it was fun to watch and follow at first but now that it appears to be to root cause of 85% of the threads in here, and will infect and take over the other 15% that start out not on that road are quickly driven on to it. The original Real World say seasons 1-3 weren't that bad but now we have the cancer that is reality tv that owns many networks and is present in them all.

Did I expect more from TP after him sitting out euro ball this past offseason only to see him hobbled in the postseason again? Yep, but to start threads how he is the biggest playoff choke artist in history (4x champ and finals mvp) or a bigger team cancer than Rondo, a player exiled publicly from his team by the coach and fellow players is simply trolling for effect. There are many that never sniffed a chip and beside the Barry debacle what Spurs player or coach has said anything negative about TP? There are just as many crap KL threads tbh. I just wish there were more quality threads too. Maybe a Spurs war room for the rants, and a more objective forum, but I doubt the war room types would check their weapons at the door when entering the objective forum. Lol, actually a pretty decent analogy :lol I was fine with some of the trolling at first, and it's still occasionally funny, but shit has gotten way out of hand at this point. I've said before that I'm all down for trolling and that forums that are heavily moderated and 100% serious aren't nearly as enjoyable...but damn this place has just gotten ridiculous :lol

Unfortunately I don't see it stopping any time soon. Even if Parker improves and plays better next year, he'll still likely get hate for not playing up to his contract or for how garbage he was in 2015.

I don't really care enough to go out and find another Spurs forum that would likely just be a bunch of uptight delusional homers, but I do hope that shit here gets cleaned up a little at some point and the trolling dies down a bit.

I love this site but there's truth here. My favorite threads now unfortunately are when someone post a link for coach Nick breakdown. There's usually a lot of legit strategy talk in those threads. It's cool, there used to be a lot of that.

But not so much anymore. But with all that said, I just have to manually filter out all the crap to find the good which there still some good here. But not as much as before.

I think Parker has average in the '14 regular season, and he's been garbage since the '14 playoffs. I'm well aware of what the advanced metrics saw about him. I'm absolutely terrified at the prospect of giving him $40+ million over the next 3 years. I think if Pop didn't play Parker so much and gave Mills his minutes, we could've won vs. LAC. I have no problems saying these things, and saying those things doesn't make you a "Parker hater" or anything along those lines.

It gets ridiculous when you start making several topics daily and turn every thread into the same old shit. At some point you just have to give it up. We get it; Parker has been dogshit over the past year and a half. What new or interesting insight is being brought up at this point? Absolutely none. It's just the same shit in every topic.

We used to have some female fan posters but they got run out by the nasties. Too bad because it was interesting to see a woman's perspective on basketball and the Spurs.

I (and maybe some others) contacted Kori and it was taken down. I don't know if the poster was banned, but the level of sophomoric bathroom humor on this board is pathetic. I like the idea of a war room to consolidate all the rants. I'm not suggesting suppressing criticism of spurs players. I've routinely ranted to friends in texts during games about Patty's inability to hit a shot in the regular season, Parkers inability to be consistent all year and sudden inability to make the shots that used to be clockwork, Manu Turnobili, and Kawhi being virtually a non impact in the last three games of the Clippers series. So, I think it's still good to be able to express that.

But to clog up this forum with 10 threads per page about the same thing is watering down all the other good threads here. We don't need to create a new thread for every post. And we also don't need to create threads to mock other useless threads which doesn't help the problem.

For those that hate a certain player and can't help but bash them, post in the same thread, let it grow to 100 pages long. I think that will be more epic than 90% of this forum filled with redundent content that only serves to drive users away.
