Get rid of Paul...you gotta try something else. This guy is a stat-padding choker.

Yes. To blow a 3-1 lead and again fail to make the WCF is horrendous.

What's there to blow up?

BatManu20

No. People always overreact after bad losses. The Clippers will not "blow it up" because they have nothing to gain from it.. It's not like a bunch of marquee FA's are suddenly going to want to play for the Clips because they got rid of CP3. You don't blow up good teams just because they've failed. You keep trying to improve that team, which is what they'll do, and hope that they'll eventually get over the hump. There's not much they can do anyways. They can definitely improve, and it starts with getting rid of guys like Matt Barnes, Jamal Crawford, Tom jr, and fat baby Davis. They won't win anything with those guys on the roster. If they were to lose Deandre to FA though, that would change their whole approach to the offseason.

Or, maybe they are dumb enough to blow it up and PATFO could convince them to trade us CP3 and Blake for Tony and Tiago. :downspin:

They have to keep their big 3, get a bench and a defensive SG... Oh and change the team name ffs

They don't have a lot room to maneuver
89 million plus whatever they have match on Jordan at least 10 million
Will be right at the projected tax.

New salary cap projections sent out to NBA teams: 2015-16: 67.1 million, tax 81.6,

We better hope they keep Jordan because if they don't, he'll go to the Mavs and then the Clips will take LMA and we'll be left holding our dicks in our hands like last year with Pau Gasol.

:lol God, you're stupid. Clips are WAY over the cap. If there is ONE team that has less of a chance at LMA than SA, it's the LAC.

They're only going to get worse from here thanks to what Tom Rivers has done and will done. Blowing it up will bring the inevitable end to an era that featured multiple second-round exits. Would be for the best to trade CP0 now while he still has value for pieces to fit around Griffin, but I doubt they do it.

Cp.3 nearly went Tracy McGrady in the post game. Way funny.

This series dispelled two myths:

Doc Rivers is an elite coach.
CP.3 is an elite PG.

Clippers pretty much have to pay Jordan since they're capped out. All they can really do is sign someone to an MLE kind of deal, but even those have blown up in their faces with Jared Dudley and then Hawes. :lol

Can sign and trade somewhere be an option for them, then?

"Clips are WAY over the cap"

Ballmer is a multi-Beelyunaire, he'll try to buy his way to the LOB. Or maybe he'll learn from the Russian's Nets.

Balmer doesn't know anything about basketball IIRC, he put all his trust in Tom Rivers and gave him all the power, which has resulted in a terrible roster that relies entirely on their top 2-3 guys..maybe somebody will advise him to make a move in the front office, but Tom Rivers has fabricated a career out of manipulating people with his personality and overshadowing his average coaching and terrible maneuvering as a GM..

That make our loss to them even worse and makes Pop look worse by being outcoached.

We have plenty to gain. Cap space, picks, and the ability to build a team correctly - not this flawed team that relies on a six-foot-nothing choke artist to create offense and has a ton of old, undersized fossils with no athleticism, length or variance.

And a PF with no stamina plus a center with shit for brains.

Build an actual bench and get a coach who doesn't run his players into the ground in meaningless games and the PF will have stamina when it matters. Amazing how Thibs just got railroaded out of town for doing a piss-poor job of managing minutes while Doc gets a free pass for the same exact thing. You're right about the shit-for-brains center, though. "DPOY candidate" my ass.

Blake has to find a way to be able to play 45 minutes a game in the playoffs. It's what is expected from a franchise player in his prime.

Unfortunately, he doesn't have the luxury of taking two weeks off like LeBron or being rested throughout the season like Duncan/Manu/Kawhi or sitting on the bench in fourth quarters of countless regular-season blowout wins like Curry. He was playing 35 minutes per game in the meaningless games while Curry was playing 32 minutes per game and Kawhi was playing 31, all because we don't have a bench. Granted, Blake needs to learn how to pace himself too, but he also has to drag a shit team to wins by himself. Get rid of all the scrubs and choke artists on this team, build a real supporting cast, and the rest will figure itself out.

New salary cap projections sent out to NBA teams: 2015-16: 67.1 million, tax 81.6,

They will have around $78 million committed to 6 players not including Crawford and Barnes (team options) that would push it to $88 million for 8 players. They have the mid-level (tax payers) of $3.6 million. They blew the Bi-Annual exception on Farmer.

They need:
Backup 1
Starting 3
Backup 5

and probably a backup 2 (Crawford is the definition of hit or miss)

Davis and Rivers are both FAs and both may have played decently enough for a pay raise.

Even if Jordan walks, they would have to renounce everyone else and that would only give them $5.5 million after cap holds.

They really only have $3.5 million to work with to fix all of their issues.

Eric Bledsoe

for

J.J Reddick + Jared Dudley

Dudley plays one year ( with a serious leg injury)

Dudley + 1st round pick

to

Milwaukee for un-guaranteed contracts

needs a starting caliber 3 but doesn't have an expiring contract or draft pick to get Wilson Chandler or Jeff Green because of that deal with the Bucks.

also spending $15 million on Hawes...

He's one of the three worst GMs in the NBA.
