One of Doc's messages to the team: "Stop f—ing flopping."

— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) May 17, 2015

Rivers has explicitly and implicitly approved of his players flopping. When Klay Thompson called out Blake Griffin for flopping last season, Rivers said:

“That’s Klay’s opinion; I don’t really care,” Rivers said Friday. “I just keep looking at what Blake’s done. If he’s flopping, then keep doing it because those numbers look awful good to me. So flop on. That’s the way I look at it. Whatever he’s done this year, I want him to keep doing exactly that. When the votes come for MVP, he’ll be in the top three.

The only joke was that Manny was outboxed for 8-9 rounds and was said to be the #2 p4p. Manny just moved from first class to the coach with the roach, Freddy the joke coach Roach.

I scored 7-5, Mayweather though it's closer than what most people say but yeah, total letdown. Dont like how he handled the post fight interview too. That was pretty pathetic.

What do you make of Pacquiao claiming his shoulder is why he lost? He didn't disclose it as he is required to and is facing 10m+ in litigation for it.

There's definitely an injury, I don't know if thats the reason he lost tbh. I believe he was penalized for failing to knock Mayweather out. Score wise though, it's actually pretty close.

How are you scoring? Because it's not as simple as giving the round to who connects the most punches. Manny was unable to exhibit ring generalship anywhere but one round and had piss-poor defense throughout the fight. In the case of a close round, judges use these criteria to reward a fighter the round or ultimately declare the draw.

It wasn't close, Pacquiao had 10 rounds where he let Mayweather control the fight completely and he allowed Mayweather to hit at a high %.

A lot of Mayweather's glancing "punches" that scored via compubox, landed on Manny's gloves. As a fan of the sport itself, I usually don't judge on fight night especially with the commentators getting excited for nothing (Lampley is famous for it) I score mine the old fashion way.

You can say Mayweather had a few more jabs landed (but it wasn't near the 50% discrepancy as reported by compubox) but Pacquiao definitely landed the hardest and best blows, espcially in round 3,4 and 6.

Compubox counted both their glancing blows, and I woudn't be wrong in saying Mayweather's defense converted most of Manny's punches to glancing blows. I don't see an honest scoring giving Manny more than 4 rounds.

No game face by Jordan. None. He's not only pissed at Rivers, he's disgusted with him,,,& you can see the disappointment at the last of it as Jordan turns.

Yup... he meant it, too. Those words cut Rivers to his core... especially coming from Jordan.

It's a seminal moment. So much truth there. A humanized MJ in that circa is a rarity.

And you'd like to see the happy ending, perhaps an extensive story by ESPN, or, another sportswriter to take this video and tell it, but, alas, we cannot, because dollars to donuts Doc apologized in the after moments of this video---Doc did not live his apology as our Pimp cites as the OP. The teacher fell prey to his weakness to the point that he permitted & blessed this abomination to his pupils.
