One of the things about being the currently greatest coach in the NBA and the greatest coach in NBA history, is that you are willing to listen to others and make an "adjustment". With Kevin McHale advancing into the 3rd round while Pop was unable to get past that Clipper roster and their all time great coach Doc Rivers, perhaps McHale would be willing to assist Pop in how to make an adjustment vs sticking with his favorite Porker.

topics could be

When you bench players are making it rain threes leave them in.
How to not have pet players that drag down team chemistry.
I'm not in the kitchen making crumpetts, are you?

Pop knows how to adjust tbh..

His Loyalty BS and playing favourites has always been his downfall though

if McHale wins a title as a coach, its by accident.

Maybe McHale could mentor Doc also. The Clippers were better with CP3 out in the series.

Post of the year. Watch him be the first coach to overcome a 3-0 deficit. I say that not just because I want it to happen but that fate if funny sometimes.

5 rings is not a bad downfall. I am sure anyone not named Phil or Red would like to have the kind of downfalls Pop has had.

I'm sure anyone not named Phil or Red would like to have Prime Duncan GNob Horry Bowen etc.
For that matter Phildo and Red would probably love that dynasty lineup.
Wonder how McHale would do with the Primes? Shoot he is in the 3rd round now.

Playoff basketball isn't rocket science. You've got to be quick to make your adjustments and stick with what works and avoid what doesn't work. Pop understood that last year. If we had this year's Pop last year, the Spurs would have lost to the Mavs in the first round.

McHale reverted to Pop style by leaving the Beard in.
Sad.

Spoiled wench. You have the pleasure of viewing one of the most successful runs for a sports franchise ever and you pull Polly out of your pocket?

Go slap yourself and return humbly after you do so.
Go now.

I guess McHale would be coaching Pop on what, exactly? How to lose a series 4-1 while your players thug the other team with the game already decided? How to have your franchise player commit 13 turnovers in an elimination game? How to lose game 3 of the WCF on your home floor by 35 points?

McHale is an awesome coach.

Fabbs should hire himself as Spurs head coach. River Parades every year.
