Earlier this morning I was at HEB shopping, and all of a sudden I see LMA and Kiwi and POP talking having a good time.... coach pop had a cart full of wine and cheese lol

On my way out I saw Timmy waiting in a nice black Tahoe.

Aldrige isn't technically a free agent until July 1. Any team other than Portland that tries to talk with him before then is guilty of tampering and could be hit with fines and be docked draft picks. Absolutely no chance the Spurs have any contact with him at this time.

I saw Kawhi this morning during a red light, he was riding a short bus and was sitting on the second to last seat. Couldn't see what he was doing to the wet window but it looked like he was drawing Matt Barnes.

Had a face like this...

This is from yesterday:

blazersedge: San Antonio Spurs Summer Plans Include Recruiting LaMarcus Aldridge (http://www.blazersedge.com/2015/5/19/8625873/lamarcus-aldridge-san-antonio-spurs-free-agent-portland-trail-blazers)

The free-agent plan for the Spurs is to quickly agree on a five-year max deal with [Kawhi] Leonard - "It will be a short conversation," one person with knowledge of the dynamics said - and empower Leonard to join [Tim] Duncan in an all-out recruitment of All-Star free agent LaMarcus Aldridge, league sources told CBSSports.com.

The Spurs will feel out Memphis center Marc Gasol, too, but the prevailing belief now is that Aldridge is more likely to change teams. The Trail Blazers' hope is that the Texas native will be enticed by the five-year, $107 million deal they can offer as opposed to the four-year, $82 million that other suitors will have on the table. But that home-team advantage has been greatly diminished by the looming spike in the salary cap in 2016. Aldridge, 29, will strongly consider doing a two-year deal with a player option for '16-'17 that would get him back to the market in a position to make tens of millions more at the new max.

RC isn't that stupid. You don't build an organization as successful as the Spurs by taking those kinds of chances.

Can you talk to him through players? The NBA wouldn't be able to stop players on the team having private conversations with him, would they?

AFBlue
05-21-2015, 12:57 AM
The Spurs FO doesn't need to unnecessarily tamper. They need to line up their plan with their own free agents and ready the pitch for whoever. Fortunately, but unfortunately, it doesn't need to be a rush job this year.

Do NBA players visit their children in different cities all summer? Dwight better get bounced quick from the playoffs so he has time to visit all his children in each of the NBA cities.

He did. It was all over the news but his stripper wife, whom he beat on all the time, didn't like SA. She preferred the bright lights of NJ/NY.

He did. It was covered in minute detail, but I stopped paying attention when they didn't want to see/tour good private schools. That pretty much meant they weren't coming. It was just a dog and pony show to get the Nets to pay MAX.

You know what I would do if I were a free agent? I would read the online forums and see which fans say the worst stuff. Then when I choose some other team and they ask me why I did, I would call out the usernames and quote their posts.

Yep, and wanted to further her "career" by staying in a big City. He wanted to go to SA but she talked him out of it.

I was in an HEB on 281-N and went in to find some local honey. After looking at several bottles I found what I was looking for and went to the checkout counter and bought it. I asked the young girl that was bagging the groceries if she thought LMA was going to be in a Spurs uniform come next season and she said "What the fuck are you talking about? Excuse my French." I said, "Oh.... so they're trading Boris for him?" She didn't say a word, but gave me a conspiratorial wink and put my local honey in a small paper bag.

Thank goodness. That allowed the Spurs to keep a younger player (Tony Parker :)) and win several more championships!

Perhaps a lesson in the coming Aldridge saga . . .
