If the Lakers can actually acquire enough talent to make a playoff push, playing Kobe 44 minutes a game in November and hoping he breaks down ASAP is their best bet.

Until the Lakers develop some type of new identity that team will be something of a disaster to coach. If Kobe can keep his ego in check he could probably be a good compliment to a budding superstar, in a Robinson to Duncan type of handoff. Without a true, young centerpiece that team will continue to flounder trying to build the team around Kobe.
