I think he is going to kill it on that show. I can't wait!

If he doesn't it won't be because we haven't heard "I think he is going to kill it on that show." a million times since yesterday. Centralized Media was frowned upon when it operated out of the old USSR. Oh, yeah, I mean we just dogged them to death over it. Now, NOW, it's come home and lives here.

Jesus Christ.

I think most folks are tired with Colbert’s sarcasm and failed attempt at humor…A better choice IMO would be to have Michele Bachmann (Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas ) or Megyn Kelly (Santa Clause is White) just playing it straight and being themselves…Now that would be hysterical…

SC will not be doing his The Coal Bear Rapport personality for his late night show.

Colbert will probably blow for a while until he gets his footing on a new mellower character.

Will be interesting.

I though the Colbert Report started slow when that show was just beginning but then it really took off. He's funny when just being himself though, so this may not be as difficult as a transition as some may think.

He'll probably be even worse than Leno.

He's going to be absolutely outstanding. He's going to change the demographics of late night TV and be a game changer. Television will never be the same.

I think the only guy I've kind of watched the past couple years as a talk show host was Craig Ferguson and it was really only for his intro monologue and how well he synced with his voiced side kick during the skits.

I watched a few of his shows when he first came on. Thought he was pretty funny. But I don't watch much in the way of late night talks shows.

I'm rooting for him but I haven't watched a late night show in about 12 years.

Is he going to be Stephen Colbert or the Colbert Report Stephen Colbert. Personally I thought his schtick with that character wasn't that funny. Let's be honest. He's a big koolaid drinker like Jon Stewart. Just own up and own it.

From what I understand, he's going to be Colbert with a hard "t". Not Col-bear.
