Either Kevin or Doc. Everybody sees it coming. If it's anyone else, no one gives a shit unless it's Pop. That would be hilarious. I'm thinking Doc with how that team had the serious under control and Doc overplayed his son.

Doesn't make sense. Spo didn't run Lebron off, didn't give Chris Bosh a tumor, and found Hassan Whiteside. Spo just hit 4 Finals in a row. If he gets fired that's the team's way of scorched earth rebuilding but they still have Wade so it doesn't make sense.

Casual fan doesn't read Chris Sheridan's tweets.

You have Brett Brown, Fisher, and whoever is coaching LA right now. You also have George Karl... who just got hired. Not sure who coaches the Celts, Brad Stevens? He seems like a good coach. Shaw? Is he coaching Denver?

Carlisle could make some sense with how things went down with Rondo. Of course Fisher too since Phil Jackson would probably love a 90s coach like Thibedeau. Byron Scott makes sense since he is shit and Mitch is already burning bridges with Snitch.

Kevin McHale. Rumor that the owner is not happy with him and Dwight believes he isn't being used to his best abilities, which is bs because Dwight is 30 now, not 23.

His feet wouldn't hit the ground because a limo would slide under him to take him to another team.

It'll probably be McHale. How this team got so far, I'll never know. Contradicting that rhetorical statement, they got this far on talent alone as well as a Clipper choke. They should have been done 2 weeks ago.

Rockets have gotten this far on talent alone. Hearing Kerr and McHale's wired moments during the game are night and day.

What if Pop got fired for playing Tony while he was playing like shit and that intentional fouling that cost us a game and likely the series? No one is expecting that.

He should be fired as GM for certain. Maybe with a real one, he could have gotten to the conference finals and given Golden State a more legit challenge.

That meeting of the suits after the Clippers loss makes me think Flopping Doc is on the Chopping Block. Putting his son out there, emphasizing how he needs more minutes, that disgusted look on Ballmer's face, knowing that Ballmer wants ROI. Doc is probably gone. If Jordan walks, Doc won't be there to care.

McHale wouldn't be the first coach in history to be given an extension before getting fired. Even the University of Houston and it's relatively tiny budget, fired Tony Levine after giving him an extension before the start of the next season.

Anyone really watching that team knows they made it there on talent alone. The Rockets made it there on having a dominant big man (by modern standards), an MVP-caliber guard and shooting a bunch of 3's. The effort and basketball IQ simply were not there way too often. That they were even competitive with the Warriors 4/5 games was a major shock.

Go grab Rick Adelman and see if he wants to give it another go. He's the most hard luck great coach in NBA history.

You have to have a guy the players will listen to. That's not a washed up proven failure. You have to get someone like Thibbs.

05-28-2015, 02:59 AM
With the Knicks botching the lottery, and Thibs being one of those coaches that still like to play big, I can see Phil giving Fish the pink slip and going all-in to get Thibs.

It'll be the end of the triangle for the time being, but Phil desperately needs a high profile move soon, since you know Dolan isn't know for being patient.

That means nothing, this was not the best Rockets team of the last 10 years despite advancing the farthest of all of them. Sometimes it's luck of the draw and the breaks going your way. The Rox had lots of that this year.

I wonder who might it be, minutes after Rockets were eliminated...

Yeah, really. Seems pretty obvious. Nothing would leak before hand because they wouldn't want it to be a distraction.

It's looking like Thibs is gonna be that dude...

The Chicago Bulls are expected to resolve the future of Tom Thibodeau by Friday with his dismissal likely unless Jerry Reinsdorf unexpectedly intervenes at the last minute.

Thibodeau is owed $9 million over the final two years of his contract.

Fred Hoiberg is widely considered the favorite to replace Thibodeau.

According to sources, some players didn't endorse Thibodeau's return in exit meetings with management.

Some players have been making separate offseason plans for several summers to get a break from Thibodeau, who rarely leaves the practice facility.

If the supposed coach no one saw getting fired was Tom Thibodeaux, then it's a major disappointment because most of us saw that coming with the numerous rumors circulating ever since the Bulls were eliminated and the rumors of his next landing spot.
