:lmao mah nikka :lol Kobe with the subtle invalidation of Timyee's small town titles...with the political doublespeak at the end...:toast
Kobe on his pay vs. Duncan's
"It's a different market, man," Bryant said. "San Antonio's not doing $2 billion TV deals – or $5 billion – so it's a different market
Even with my deal, you have a significant amount of cap space available. But I think the advantage that they've had, and that (Duncan) has had and been very fortunate with, is they've had the same guys since he's been there. That really helps.
"You've got Manu there. You've got Tony there. Those guys have been through the ups and downs and they have that familiarity, and then they build with pieces around that. The same coach. The same system. Here, I've had to go through so many different coaches, so many different systems, it's crazy. But I love watching (Duncan). What they've been able to do is something else."
:lol
You thinking Kobe thinks market size affects cap space. :lmao

You missed the point. It affects a teams willingness to pay luxury tax.

So you're saying SA can't afford to pay 48m for a guy to sit in street clothes and tweet faggotry?
lol admitting the team you pretend to support has no more success at their expenditure than the Spurs do at theirs. :lmao

Kobe is right, but at the same time, Kobe isn't worth what he's being paid now, so it's a moot point. San Antonio isn't a "small town", though, not like it's Oklahoma City, the population ranks in the top 10 in the country IIRC. Kobe doesn't belong in SA, that's for sure, the culture of the Spurs is being humble, winning with the same formula, and not going too far past what we know. The Lakers are run far differently and throw everything they can at FAs and try to change the team often as the success comes and goes in eras, without much consistency between their championship years. Whereas we've been consistently good to great for over 15 years.
And, as much as Lakerfan wants to think Kobe hates the Spurs, there is zero doubt there's immense respect amongst the team as we've been through many battles over the years, trading wins and losses along the way.

Oh, yeah, you're real humble. You rape, fornicate, cheat, divorce, conspire to cheat, call the BCSO to save your ass from one conspirator (Jackson), lose millions, give back an NBA Title, let your mouth overload your fuckin' ass,,all these things you do...just like the next humble asshole in the line.

That's the one where Jim Buss fought, alone, using hammer & tong---tooth & nail not to obey Bryant. Couple that successful fight for Jim with his original belief & fight to draft Bynum and we're enriched by 2, count 'em 2 NBA Titles.

That's 2 NBA Titles, back-to-back. If all those other know-it-all who chastised him for insisting on Bynum not once but twice had their way we'd be light 2 two and Media would be trumping Jim for arguing for Bynum and nobody listening to him. Yeah, when it went down ESPN tripped all over themselves to report that bone of contention in Lakers World. It was great theatre because there was no risk for Media,,,so they beat on Jim Buss, ridiculed him, set him up for the big failure. Once it went the way it did, Media ran from that story like it was the plague. There was no % in Jim being right,,,just Jim being wrong. I don't forget that. I don't ever forget that.
It ain't Jim's fault that Kupchak destroyed Odom. Let Kupchak own that.
It ain't Jim's fault that Kobe couldn't staunch the hemorrhage up 24 in '08 Finals. Let Kobe own that.
It ain't Jim's fault that Jackson couldn't pull the plug on Gasol. So, when Dallas went after Pau in '11 as Boston had went after him in '08 Phil punched Gasol. Too fuckin' late then. Let Phil own that.

That's nothing to do with being humble, Dale. Spurs don't run to the press about it, much to your chagrin. Kobe does. It's the Laker thing to air your grievances to the world, much like Magic did when he was injected with tainted semen.

Of course not, you'd have to run after the press there...they'll be the ones in full flight.
Perhaps if you'd a been scolded like us you'd have more than a 2nd 5th.

Good, let that other dumbass team pay him 48 million to shoot 38% and lead the team in shots while playing 30 some odd games and then sitting out again the rest of the year. I am glad LA can afford him.
BTW whats funny is at the end it's in bold with him giving them props on what they have been able to do for so long, thread kind of backfires there with a so called diss then admiration for the Spurs (He always admires them moreso than LA trolls).

So, according to you, Cagney, Kobe has a choice on playing the remaining 50 games and has chosen to not play them? So I'm clear,,,that's what you're saying?
